black & white with a hint of colour??

someone posted a thread on how to change you plain black & white photo to one with a splash of colour....i cant find it????

After reading your request I also searched around and couldnt find anything more than what most use as Photoshop Elements. I wanted to also try to do more with my photos without getting into the expense of buying the program if I'm not going to use it much. ANWYAY, (lol) I found GIMP. Its a free program you can download and there are tutorials on how to use it. Anyway, I've been playing around and having fun. It's not hard at all once you follow the steps. Good luck!
