Black Pantyhose Question

I guess I never thought about it. I always wear what is comfortable and what I feel good wearing. If it will make you feel uncomfortable and unsure all day then don't wear them. I would wear them though cause thats just how I am.

I don't understand the labor day thing. Isn't that in about a week and a half? the weather is going to be the same then. I don't get it.

Yes, Labor Day might be even warmer than it is now. The white shoe thing is an old-fashioned rule from the 50's & 60's. Why? I don't know.

I agree with most, I wouldn't wear the black hose in the summer. In fact even the first few weeks after Labor Day are probably still too warm to look good in black hose/tights.

I never heard the no black hose in the summer thing but what is common around here is that sheer black hose are more formal and shouldn't be worn before 5:00 PM. I would wear nude hose to work.

Regardless of the date, black hose should not be worn until you've brought out the "Fall/Winter" wardrobe. I do wear sheer black hose in the winter. As another poster mentioned Hanes Silk Reflection Jet Black are my favorites. I do not wear them with my summery clothes. The last two days I've had a black skirt on and a sleeveless top. No hose. If I did wear hose, they would be nude. In the winter, when I have a black wool skirt and suede pumps on, I wear the sheer black hose. I've tried the nude with this outfit and it looks odd.
