Black out dates, can I do this?

We are going March 12-18. There are blackout dates on the new codes for the 11, 12, 13 and 18. I know I could do two separate reservations for 12 and 13 but if I made another reservation for 14-18 would the 18th still be counted under the discount or would I not get it because it is a blackout date? It kind of makes me mad that they black out the weekends. That just kinda knocks out a lot of people because most people use at least part of a weekend on their trip.

They are strict about black out dates. You will probably have to have seperate reservations for those blacked out dates.

Actually, I have to say the opposite about black-out dates, I have been able to get AP rates during dates that were supposedly blacked out. I think if you book yourself through Disney rather than with a TA the black out dates are more flexible.

But again, that is my experience, and may not be the case for everyone.

Thanks for the reply. I don't see how many people would be able to use this new code with all of the weekends being blocked out. I mean, who goes on vacation Monday through Thursday only? Not many people I would wager.

I booked a grand gathering for Feb 2-6 and got a AP rate for the entire time. I saw on another post that 3-5 Feb is a blackout date. Called to verify ressie to make sure not during blackout dates and cm told me no blackout dates ressie was fine.
