Walmart started some discounts today, and is supposed to have some "Black Friday-like" special deals online for 24 hours starting Monday 11/3 at 12am (midnight) PST. Deals should be available for in-store pickup.

11/3 deals are reported to include:
- Element 40” LED HDTV for $199, was $298
- NutriNinja Pro Blender for $65, was $99
- Crayola Paint Maker for $12, was $18.88
- Sony 48” LED HDTV for $348, was $448
- Nintendo 2DS Handheld Video Game System for $79, was $129
- Barbie Dreamhouse for $120, was $148.82 and
- Nextbook 7.85” tablet with 8GB memory for $49, was $99

The Ace Hardware ad is out but that's about it. I'm waiting (not-so-patiently) for more ads to leak. :) I always love pajamas, dvds, housewares stuff.

The Target Cartwheel app has a different toy for 50% off everyday in November. Yesterday it was a Nerf Zombie Blaster thing. Today it's toys from the movie Planes. They aren't publishing the list (as far as I know!) so you have to check the app every day.

Right now, Target has kids and family pajama sale, buy 1 get one 50% off online. I grabbed my 8yr olds a pair of Avengers and pair of Frozen Anna both w/fleece bottoms for $23 after tax. (Shipping was free) I'm sure they'll go lower for Black Friday but I was happy to have that out of the way for a decent price. They also have matching family sets, pretty decent selection.

Thanks for the tip, I will go look online right now! I've got a Target gc from Swagbucks to use towards it. I have started giving the kids a new pair of jammies on Christmas eve so we don't look like total disheveled messes in the Christmas morning photos. :lmao:

There are sites dedicated to Black Friday. Ad scans. Suggestions as to what are the "best deals"

I use this site:
http://bfads.net/

There are others.

A thread on a Disney board isn't going to have all the deals. What's a good deal to some posters may be a product other posters have no interest in purchasing, even if free.

This is a lightly moderated board. Posters are free to discuss deals, store hours (including opening on T'giving Day) value of waiting in line for hours to save a few dollars....

Actually the threads on this board this time of year are invaluable. I consider myself very up on the sales etc and still miss things. Those things I miss show up on the DIS. I'm not sure what you mean about a very lightly moderated board. There's a Black Friday thread every year. I also think it's okay for someone to request it not be taken too much off topic.

I don't think the OP meant to stop those discussions. They just opened this thread because the other thread they started to discuss Black Friday spiraled quickly down into nothing more than people complaining about folks having to work Thanksgiving. Finding any deal talk in there was impossible. That thread is still open for those folks to have that discussion.

I'm sure the OP realizes they have no actual control over keeping this thread centered on deals and such, and that moderators won't jump in to ensure that, they just hope people will respect the request and use this thread that way. So far I think we already have more posts about deals than the other thread had in 6 pages :)

I just bought Avengers and Disney Princess pjs at macys.com thinking I was getting a deal at $12.99. Foo.

Following this thread for sure!!

Yes this is what I meant. I know people do not like black Friday... I get that.... I just wanted a board where we can discuss deals. You know since this the budget board and all. ;)

Does anyone know if the Neutra ninja blender is more of a food processor or just a blender? I have a family member who is wanting a food processor for Christmas and I was wondering if this was similar.

Just a blender. Only one speed.

I'm tempted to try and take part in some of the online deals you guys have this year. I will be offsite for a Disney trip from the 7th to the 14th of December so I could conceivably have some things shipped to the resort (they allow that for a fee). I just worry that it won't be enough shipping time. It would be a giant pain for items to not come before we leave to go home. Paying to get them home to Canada at that point would more than wipe out the savings. Not sure it's worth the risk.

Yikes thanks for letting me know. That's definately not what they're looking for. Where did you find out about this sale?

There are various "deal" sites to watch. As another PP said, bfads.net reports most if not all major sales this time of year - they seem to be the ones who originally reported the Walmart event. Slickdeals and/or Fatwallet are other sites to watch - you will find reports of both major sales and individual sale items at these sites. But these sites take a commitment;) - there are lots of deals reported, especially this time of year. You can setup alerts, to have an email or text message sent when a deal that looks to match something you are looking for is posted, but the deals reported on these sites are often around for just a very short time, so you need to monitor for them constantly.

Do you guys think that the Nintendo 2ds at $79 is a good deal?? We are planning on getting one for DS birthday, and I don't know if I should buy it, or wait until black friday??

I don't follow gaming hardware much, but this item seems to be getting a fair bit of attention on at least one of the deal sites, so I think it's probably a pretty good deal.

There should be at least a 15 day return policy on it (gaming hardware is a bit confusing, I'm not completely sure whether it gets the 15 day or 90 day policy based on what I'm reading on Walmart.com). You could buy it now, then if after more ads get leaked you think you will be able to get a better deal on Black Friday, you could always return it. But you will have to do the return before you actually are able to buy something on Black Friday.

I think $79 is going to be as low as it goes. I imagine Black Friday will be more about the PS4 and Xbox One bundles and less the 3DS/2DS.

Yeah, I think you guys are right. I'll buy it tomorrow, and check one more thing off the list :)
