Black Friday/Cyber Monday - What did you get?

I bought my daughter some pajamas at Old Navy the day before Thanksgiving. I bought myself an Instant Pot from Amazon when it was on sale on Friday. It's came in the mail on Sunday and I'm trying to figure it out. It's still on sale today!

I bought a 40" HDTV for $124 at Walmart on Thursday night, a $40 blue ray player and a $25 chromecast. Now I can (Finally) throw out the crappy boxy tv in the living room, and I can watch DVDs and stream shows in there!! I also ordered a $33 Kindle Fire to use as the remote. Welcome to this century!

I did better before Cyber Monday than I could have done if I waited. I kept checking Monday's prices against my previous purchases. Many of Monday's prices were higher than what I paid even online! The only thing I got on Monday was a Sandisk micro SD card 64GB for $14.99 and 32GB 8.99 from Best Buy. I tried to order these on Sunday, but I got a "not available" error. The 64Gb is backordered so I may never get it.

Well, the push lawn mower died during the six hour leaf removal process this fall so we went to Sears and bought a lawn tractor for their Black Friday special with a bagger attachment. That was it. For Cyber Monday? The only site I was waiting to get on crashed.

Does it count as a Cyber Monday purchase if I just re-did an order from a day or two ago because I got a better deal? :) I re-did a Pier 1 order with the new Amex offer and now I feel like I got a great deal instead of just ok. Admittedly I have to return what I bought initially once it arrives but I'm getting much more bang for my buck this time!

Last night I bought an IPad Air 2 at target. It was 15% off with another 5% off for using a target card.

I bought my DD moccasins from LL Bean, at 20% off plus a $10 gift card for a future purchase - not bad.

But, my BIG score, and it's not even a Christmas gift...hotels.com was doing one of those "mystery coupon" deals over the weekend, where you enter your name & email, & you get a personalized coupon code for a "surprise" amount. Usually all that comes up is 7% - 10% off, but this time I scored a 99% off coupon! It had a max value of $990 (99% off of a $1,000 hotel booking), had to be used to book by last night, and travel has to take place by the end of March. The day trip to NYC I was tentatively planning for over my kids' Christmas break has now become 2 nights in a king suite at The Muse hotel in NYC! Cost to book would have been about $500/night, but all I had to pay were some fees, so my grand total for 2 nights was $24.16!!!

We don't exchange gifts any more so I don't do black Friday but I did get my son a new PC for school and gaming yesterday.

Wow! That's an amazing savings!

I worked black Friday but I did get a new cat bed using my employee discount that day. Yesterday, I got my boyfriend and myself Mickey shirts, matching Mickey and Minnie Mugs, and Mickey and Minnie Fleece jackets all for $60. That's going to be Christmas for us since we leave for Disney December 31st! If I remember correctly, I got 30% off my order.

Edit: I got the stuff yesterday from the Disney Store.

Amazon has the 64GB on sale for 9.99 now.

I am so jealous

I'm Canadian, so we don't get as great of prices on things as you do in the States (although it's pretty close once you factor in the exchange rate). It's also not a holiday for us, since our Thanksgiving is in October, but over the past 4-5 years Black Friday has really become a huge thing up here. I didn't go too crazy, despite having the day off work.

Our current TV in our living room worked fine, but I've been itching to upgrade for awhile now (it's a 40", and I bought it 4.5 years ago), so I bit the bullet and bought a 55" RCA 4K for $398. The best part was that the grocery store that had that deal was paying double the tax back to you, so my TV that was $398 + $10 enviro fee - double the tax came to $388!

I placed an online order from Old Navy/Gap for some athletic pants/sports bras. Total order came to $78.

Online Walmart order for 2 Christmas presents for my mom - $73

And then we spent over $500 on our pets... one of the local Pet stores had cat trees that were regular $125 on sale for $50, so we bought two of them (we picked one up at 7:30am, then there were still some left when I went back around 11am, so I bought another one). The cat food our 2 cats love was on sale for the cheapest price of the year, so we bought enough for 2-3 months (the expiration dates are over a year away, so we're fine there). Our dogs needed food, so that was another $100 (no sale prices on that, but we needed it). Dog treats were all on sale, so we stocked up for the next 1-2 months. Same for cat treats. Cat litter was a good price, so we stocked up on that as well. The dogs needed new collars, so I found clearance ones (regular $18, on sale for $3). We also have degus (a type of rodent), so bags of timothy hay were buy one get one free, and the bedding I like to use in their habitat was also buy one get one free. On cyber Monday, a different pet store (one that actually carries proper degu food, but is a bit of a drive for us to get to) offered free shipping, and degu food was $2 off the price they charge in store, so I spent $100 and stocked up on that.

Not the most exciting of purchases, but we would have needed all of that pet food/treats eventually, and we saved a LOT of money by buying it on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Anyone of you guys have shipping issues?
Item #1 - arrive on sunday | showed up at someone else's door.
Item #2 - arrives on sat. | still in transit
Item #3 - arrives on monday | still sitting at post office

bad luck on my end i guess...

My stuff looks like it's going to be slow to ship too. I did tons of shopping, best deals were gifts for my boyfriend at Footlocker ($70 for $130 sneakers), Nordstrom ($50 North Face fleece) and Best Buy ($99 instead of $130--this was a few days before Black Friday).
Also got some candles from Bath and Body Works as part of my mom's gift-- three wick candles were down to $12.50 each, and then everything was an additional 25% off.
All of these sites had eBates rebates, too.

I've already had one additional item in my box (Kohls) and one wrong item (Target) - both stores resolved those issues, but now I'm opening every box b/c it's early in the season for shipping to already get stuff wrong...
