Black Friday/Cyber Monday - What did you get?

This year, I never even looked at the ads. I have figured out over the last few years that these "sales" cost me more money than I would normally spend. This year, I have most of my Christmas shopping done and avoided the trap of Black Friday. I know it works for some people but I'm not to be trusted, LOL, and it's so nice not to focus on winning some imaginary game. I just enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday for once.

Grabbed my daughter a MacBook early thurs am online for her Christmas gift. Heading to college next fall so I figured a splurge would be ok as she would have needed a laptop for that.

My younger son passed around something that the pediatrician (not our regular one) swore up and down wasn't contagious. As a result, I wasn't up to going out and hitting the sales. I did buy a few things online though including: napkin rings from Pottery Barn that coordinate with the fine silver my dh has been buying for me as a Christmas gift during previous black Friday sales, a kids Kindle for DS5 so he'll leave his brother's alone, pjs for my dh, and a new set of nice knives to replace the cheap knives we've been using for the last 20+ years. I think my dh may have bought me an Apple Watch from Target online. He took the kids to Best Buy Thursday night to give me some quiet time. He got on sale there an Ipad and a new video game for the kids.

I had no plans to go shopping on Black Friday but somehow found myself doing just that at the mall and online. :rotfl:

Tea Collection: Riko Trapeze dress with leggings to match, Ukiuki Kimono Neck dress with leggings to match (retail was $109.50, paid $50 + $7 for shipping)

Macy's: Lauren Ralph Lauren Faux-Fur-Trim Hooded Toggle Down Puffer Coat in navy (retail was $245.00, paid $98.00), COACH Edie Shoulder Bag 31 in saddle (retail was $350.00, paid $175.00), and other various items that weren't on sale.

Ulta: Kenra Frizz Control Leave-In Treatment and Blow-Dry Spray (retail $41.34, paid $32.33), Kenra Frizz Control Shampoo and Conditioner (thought these were on sale, but just checked my receipt and they weren't!), Yes To Grapefruit Pore Perfection Brightening Peel and Coconut Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser (retail $27.54, paid $22.23), Ulta Lip Service Kit (retail $12.00, paid $10.86)

Justice:
Activity Tracker (retail $41.87, paid $23.70)

Sephora:
I can't find my receipt so I don't know what I saved, if anything, and two of the products that I purchased aren't on the Sephora website as mine is one that is inside JCP. I bought a 5-piece perfume sampler with a voucher to redeem for full-size rollerball (paid $26.50) , a 3-piece Sephora Collection facial sponges and solid cleanser set (paid $15.90), and GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment 5 x 1 use treatments (paid $23.20). I believe the only item on sale was the sponge/cleanser set.

I got various video games I wanted for half price, but the big score was clothing. We are going on a cruise that starts on December 26th and Dh needed a new suit, and I needed some new dresses. The suit was 50% off, and the dress I picked was 40% off. We saved a great deal of money thankfully. It took the sting out of the realization that we had outgrown all of our formal wear since the last cruise.:scared:

Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 for right around $90 together. First splurge for a while as I'm in heavy saving mode for a trip next fall.

Been resisting the urge to buy the Fitbit Charge HR 2 since it's been on sale all week. Well...Target still has it on sale +15% off everything +5% Redcard. Total with tax $112, could not walk away from that! Original price was $149.00

I got SOCKS. Because they had 10 packs of fancy socks and I needed that. lol I also got some video games, my husband a new pair of jeans, and a few other random things. Made off like a bandit!

Just got a great deal if I do say so myself...I haven't really seen convertible car seats on sale during the regular season...we needed a second one for our second car. Babies r Us never lets you use coupons when things are on sale, so I went looking at other sites for cyber Monday deals...Bed Bath and Beyond had a sale on the Graco All in one car seat, plus they allowed me to use an additional 20% coupon...which a regular 299.99 car seat came to $191.99 car seat...I'd say a win.

ordered my daughter a Fitbit Charge HR for $76.46 on Amazon. Used Chase Freedom points so did not cost me any cash.

DH and I mainly use Black Friday for clothes shopping.

Express- 50% off everything. Got a new skirt and two new shirts for work. DH got a $40 gift card from Express for his birthday on Thanksgiving, and had a $19 statement credit from Express.

Macy's- $80 dress for work for $22.

Old Navy- 50% off everything. Got jeans that miraculously fit my height (5'11"), athletic wear for niece, socks, and gloves for $30.

Target- 30% off all clothes, plus I got an extra 15% off Cartwheel offer, plus 5% with my RedCard. Stocked up on sweaters for DH and I, and a new pair of work shoes. Also picked up Finding Dory for $10 :) On Saturday we went back to Target for their $50 off $100 Christmas Shop deal. I want to have an all Disney tree eventually so I bought all of the Disney ornaments I liked plus some wrapping paper, boxes, and bags.

Good weekend and not a lot of money spent!

I bought a pair of lucky jeans online from Macy's for 43 and they went on sale for 34 yesterday. I never would have know but I signed up for paribus a few months ago and by the time I checked my email yesterday morning the refund was already being processed by Macy's because paribus automatically submits for it. They do access your email and Amazon accounts to get your receipts.

I forgot about the great deal I got at Bath and Body Works! I rarely ever shop there, but I had received two coupons recently for $10 off $30 and one free signature item with any purchase. DH likes their C.O. Bigelow collection so we got him three soaps that came out exactly to $30. Received $10 off that, plus picked up a full-size bottle of lotion that I will probably keep as a last-minute gift for anyone who may pop up. They were also having buy 3, get 3 free, so we chose three hand soaps for our kitchen. Total- $21 with tax for 7 full-size items!

I bought the Lego Cinderella Castle from Lego.com, which didn't come with any money off, but did come with a special Lego Santa snowglobe. I was going to buy this thing anyway so I am happy that I got the little build to go with it.

Got DS's soccer goal and size 3 soccer ball plus four baby gifts for my ex-SIL all for $60 at Kohls.com today. I was planning on spending $40 on the goal/ball alone so all of that was a great deal!! Plus got two pairs of Northface etip gloves - one for DH, one for BIL, $42 with 8% back on swagbucks. I bought two wubbanubs for the baby I've got cooking because they were only $5 after getting a $5 GC from Target.com!!

Yesterday I got the rest of my niece and nephew's gifts with the amazon book sale, plus a Christmas book for DS. I feel like I've been buying like crazy but I'm almost done with shopping. I haven't bought all that much I didn't need to buy.
