Wii games
A laptop for DD(9.5)
Pet essentials for a new small dog

that's it for now.

Black friday is one of the best holidays ever!! lol

I will be looking for:

a DVD recorder
cheap recent DVDs
DS games
running stuff/ a Nike + sportsband
HSM stuff for my little cousin and the girls I babysit for

Let the fun begin

What I want is a really, really inexpensive trip to DW.:thumbsup2 I can never find a super deal on black friday.
LOL

i am so excited... it feels like the big day is coming right around the corner

We will be in Disney...But I will be doing my shopping in Orlando this year. If I can find the stores..lol

Well I am in I just hope there is money around to go shopping with!
I am looking for ds and wii games
ipod for my son
and we will see what is new this year they will want

I'm hoping to nab hot deals on a Blu Ray player, laptop, and one of those Tag readers from Leap Frog. I wonder what the hot toys will be this year?

I'm in too!

Last year I got realised from the hospital after having my second son. His was still in RNICU so I went out and guilt shopped a little bit. I certainly didn't move quickly as I had a c-section, but it was a distraction for a few minutes.

I'm looking forward to lots more fun this year!!

We have two outlet malls about 10-15 minutes from us so I'm hoping they'll have great deals! I just told DH the other day that I needed to make a list of people to buy for and what they're looking for.

A wonderful friend here from the disboards (Leonsmom) told me about wishcentral[dot]com as a great site to keep everything organized in. I want to go over and check it out.

As for what we're shopping for, our tv's going so we'd love a nice flat screen LCD tv (I think that's what it is...I'm technalogically challenged!), something cool for the boys toy-wise (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Eistiens, Pooh, Dora, Nemo, Cars, Backyardigans) digital picture frame for my office and DMIL and DM, I'm sure there will be more once I see the ads. I love buying things on sale and am trying to stock up throughout the year as I see really good sales. We're also debating getting DS4 a Power Wheels type car this year and a Little Tykes type car (like Flintstone style that you use to feet to make it go) to give him something to do outside to be more like big brother.

I'm hoping to be able to go out this year, but DH has to work (to make sure the stores aren't overcrowded...he's the buzz-kill that would close them down!) and my mom's supposed to be visiting but I don't know when she's leaving to head back to MI.

I will probably hit a lot of online deals as soon as they start hitting. I saw a great deal on line at Sears last year, thought about it for a few minutes and it was too late. This year, I'm buying first and questioning later! :lmao:

I'll also be checking bfads[dot]net for flyers. That's the site I've checked in the past.

Now that I rambled enough, I'm off to search for more deals!

I must also confess that I was suckered into buying a remote control car for the "baby" on QVC. I would have spent the same in the store so it's ok...

ETA: I need things that are small-ish as we're driving back to MI for Christmas this year and I'll either need to send them before we leave or pack them in the van. The boy's bigger toys will stay here as Santa has to leave something at our house. We're also going to Disney 12/10-14 so we'll certainly be on a budget and I can't spend too much on BF or I'll have no Disney money!

All DS will want for Christmas is a PS3...and a few games to go with. Any news on these?

I don't know what I want yet but I'll be out there!

Hopefully our Target does a better job with the lines and items on sale.
Last 2 years have been crazy!
I wish they would do tickets like Best Buy.

The current 40GB is being discountinued sometime in the fall, so you *might* be able to find a deal one one of those

Just to let you know, it won't play PS2 games, and the controller that comes with it isn't dual shock (it won't rumble while playing a game)

The 80GB model that will retail for $399 in the fall won't play PS2 games, but will have the upgraded controller

also go to monoprice (dot) com to buy the cables you will need (HDMI and possible optical depending on your home theater system)

Subscribing!!:cool1: I can't wait...last year was soo great. This year I am on the look out for deals on wii games and accesories (I lucked out and snagged a wii online about a month ago). Also a laptop for me!

Wow, I didn't know they had dual shock controllers - we've been using the plain boring ones LOL! Here I thought the only diffrence was the PS2 compatability.

I also 2nd going to monoprice for cables. CHEAP and reliable. Which means y'all who are wall-mounting your TVs can get the proper in-wall cables to hook it all up!

The only thing on my list right now is flat-screens for DS and DD. 19"-26" size range. And digital frames for the grandmas if they're under $50. The rest of the stuff I want is for me :woohoo: Of course if something is cheap enough, that may mean I forgot I wanted it til I saw the price! :thumbsup2

I'll be kid-free this BF (I wasn't last year so I didn't shop), so I can't wait to go this year and get some good deals! I love being done with my Christmas shopping by the time my neighbors are rolling out of bed! Then it's take a nap time, and start putting up decorations! It's the best weekend!

I would like an iPod and a flatscreen tv! Can I put my name on the waiting list for that now! ;) :rotfl:

I hit the Target 75% off sales this weekend so I've got a head start on the "toy" side of my Christmas shopping! I can't wait for Christmas to be here!!

An FYI, too, for anyone who is purchasing HDTVs for the first time this year - call your cable/satellite company EARLY in December (maybe November, even) to schedule your appointment for hook-up. I made that mistake last year-didn't call until after I bought the TV-and didn't have HD until mid-January!! It was almost as bad as waiting for WDW vacation day!

so get all the wires, tv mounts and cable appointments ready, and THAT will be a gift all it's own.

This is going to be a tough year have 15 year old boy and everything he wants is expensive. So black friday will probably be for me

I have a boy who will be 15 in February. Let me know if you come up for something for your guy that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Teen-age boys are soooooooo hard to buy for!

I'm 40 mind you and I had no idea what Black Friday was like until last year. I was stunned by all the, pardon me..."freaks" out in 5:30 in the morning and I was unaware that these people had already been shopping for hours! The Spongebob TV w/free dvd player at Meijer were gone hours before I got there. People were shopping at 2 in the morning wondering around aimlessly until they could check out. I WAS PISSED! Soooo I guess I will be one of those "freaks" shopping all night thru morning for the deals. Or is it really worth it? I don't know. I guess it depends on what I "need" vs. what I "want". Anyway...I'm anxious to see what deals are happening this year.

The same thing has happened to me at Meijer. They should either close a couple of hours before Black Friday officially starts or not let people wander aimlessly around the store with the great deals in their carts. Meijer is the one store that is notorious for letting people do that. Our Wal-Mart closes around 3 A.M. to stock up for the Black Friday crazy people and re-opens at 5 A.M. I don't know if this is common for all Wal-Mart, but Meijer needs to do something like that!

Here is who I have to shop for and basically I have no idea what I am looking for yet!

DS14 - very expensive tastes. Any ideas???
DD!2 - she's easy. Loves all things girly and teen-agerish!
DS8 - I know he wants a new bike.
DH43 - who knows? He is very difficult to buy for
DS55 - pretty easy, but have no clue yet
DB51 - I have no idea what to get him. He is rather wealthy and can buy whatever he wants. Since we have a family drawing, I am limited to $50. Wish me luck!
Niece21 - Shouldn't be too hard. Pretty typical young adult. She works for Best Buy so I really can't get her anything that is bought there and they have a lot of things for her age. Clothes always work though.

I will eagerly be watching this thread to see what other people are buying. I start shopping early if I find things on sale. I love Black Friday though. By DH thinks I am crazy. He went with me one time and he said , "never again"!!!!

I refust to go to Meijer again. 2 years ago I went through that, then long lines, mass confusion.... and hardly any cashiers to top it off. I missed all other deals that morning. Never again.
