Black Friday 10% off target gift cards

I think I've read in the past that if you purchase Disney gift cards online, you can get the Red card 5% even if you don't pay with the Red card.
So theoretically I think we can purchase the $300 in Target gift cards at 10% off. Then go online and use the $300 to purchase Disney gift cards at 5% off.

Is the highlighted section true?
I don't have a Target Red Card but would love to buy the Target GC with the 10% off and then be able to purchase the Disney GC on line and get the 5% off.

Anyone know?

I have the Target debit & got my first Disney gc's yesterday thanks for the Black Friday heads up! I tried to buy a Dis gc at Lowes with a Lowes gc, didn't work

Sorry but I am trying to catch up with all of you....WHERE are you seeing that you will get 10% at Target on Black Friday? Do I have to go into the store or do this online? And am I buying Target gift cards OR disney cards on Black Friday?

It's in the ad online for Black Friday sales. You can purchase up to $300 per household in Target Gift Cards at 10% off. They must be purchased between 6am and noon in your local store (or between 6 am and noon Central time online). You cannot use the discounted cards to purchase anything else that same day.

Yes. As I posted above, enter in your RedCard information for payment and then add the Gift Card as payment. There will be a button on the right side of your screen right under the total that allows you to add the GC before you submit your order even after you've entered your RC info.

I know that in-store purchases of Target Gift Cards with a Red Card will not get the 5% discount. I'm not sure whether the same holds true online.

So, IMO, you'll be able to purchase the Gift Cards with your Red Card for 10% less than their actual face value ($270). But no additional 5% discount at that point. You'll get an actual Gift Card.

Can't help you with the whole Red Card default, then enter Gift Card thing. Sounds like a glitch to me.

Just another thought, if the Disney cards are considered entertainment cards. Once the target gift cards are purchased you could go through southwest rapid rewards shopping and earn airline miles for the Disney purchase. I do most of our online shopping through SWRRS, already purchased my ticket to Orlando for this year on miles and have enough for another flight.

Just exactly HOW are the Target gift cards not able to be used until the next day? Are they going to be a separate "special" type and not what they sell on a regular basis? I'm just thinking back to last year and the 20% off coupons they gave out that couldn't be used on the Disney gift cards because of the way they were set up in the computers. I'm not too worried if I won't be able to use that $300 to purchase the Disney gift cards because I shop at Target all the time.

This wasn't the deal last year. Last Black Friday they were giving out 20% off your entire purchase coupons if you spent a certain amount between certain hours. Many people bought stuff to get the 20% off coupon in hopes of using it to buy Disney Gift Cards, but it turned out they couldn't. A few people posted here that they got management overrides, but it was few and far between.

I don't know if this helps, but when I order Disney GCs online it takes anywhere from 3-10 business days for me to get them. The are sent UPS Mail Innovations (UPS hands off the package to USPS to finish delivering). Not sure how long it would take for the Target GCs or if they send you physical cards or an e-gift card.

I'm in. If it turns out they are 'special' Target GCs with restrictions on them, they will simply be returned to them.

I will pay with my Disney Visa Rewards Premium which gets me 2% since Target is marked as grocery store for me.

I read on another thread from a Target employee that stated you could buy Target gift cards with Target gift cards in the store. Has anyone tried this online?

anyone buy these today? I had them in my cart but caught that it said they can be used online only. I want to be able to use them in the stores so I cancelled the order. After reading further it says that "ecards can only be used online but I clicked on regular gift card to be mailed so am confused!!

Anyone know if in fact I can order regular target gift cards online and use them in the store? The 10% off on gift cards is a nice deal.
