BL9 - 1/2/10 Exercise Challenge

Since it looks like it was such a success yesterday, let me know if you all want to continue with either a daily or weekly challenge thread or if you just want to jump over to the January Exercise thread?

After posting my success of exercising in the BL9 Exercise thread for 1/1/10 I also posted my minutes in the January thread, so it was extra motivation.

I know this thread was probably the reason I actually worked out so late at night...........since I committed here I didn't want to let anyone down.

I'll post this for today and we can decide starting tomorrow whether we do a new thread, make one for a week or go to the January thread. Let me know your thoughts.


For Saturday 1/2/10 I commit to doing 30-60 minutes of exercise.
 
I'm committing to 20-30 today. I didn't get ANY yesterday (poo!!) so I'm hoping I can do it today!
 
I have to say, I'd prefer to do both the Jan. month-long thread that Julie sets up and the daily one, at least for the month of Jan. I know for me, it'll help me commit to exercising more. It seems like the more often I write it, the more likely it gets done- and, I have at least 20 pounds to lose, so every little bit helps! I'm interested in knowing what others think.

Today, my plan is to go to WW and find out how much I'm starting BL 9 at, then hit the Wii Fit Plus for 150 calories (probably 30 min.), then a BL Wii routine, followed by the 30-Day Shred. That's 4 APs and about 80-85 min. of exercise.

Will update later how my plan worked out.
 

cclovedis - I agree, I'm going to do both as well...one "big picture" - Julie's, with my monthly goal and the BL for daily accountability.

Today my goal is 60 minutes...my BL workout and a walk.:banana: I did one of the challenges on the BL yesterday w/DD, 11, and she whomped me!:rotfl:
 
Well... for myself I am already committed to the January Exercise Challenge here on the WISH boards. I don't think I'd have the time to keep up with another thread. Sorry. But I will say that I've done 30 minutes today already. I'd like to get in a few more, but not sure if I will find the time.....P
 
I think once we get the new BL9 thread going we could just comment with our exercise on there if posting a few different places is too much for some. Maybe incorporate a certain number of minutes exercised into the COW or something?

I am doing the BL 30 Day Jump Start this morning. That will be an hour or so. Then I plan to do some Wii Fit. I may also log a day on my BL Wii game. I mght as well bust it out while I'm home all day with no plans. I do have to go clean the dance studio at some point but that's not set in stone so I have all day.

Great job!! I think for now as long as this thread is motivating people we will keep up with the daily thread. For some I know two is too much, but others like me need this to establish some accountability when the exercise love monster hasnt' hit me yet :)

I'll be doing my exercise later today.......but knowing I committed I WILL be doing it sometime today. My plan is to do the 4 mile Leslie Sansone WATP's today.
 
I think this is a good idea- I know for me the more places I can commit and be accountable the better

I commit to at least 45 mins of exercise today- not sure what yet
 
I did BL 30 Day Jump Start for 60 minutes, BL Wii for 22 minutes and Wii Fit for 34 minutes for a total of 116 minutes and 887 calories burned.
 
I will commit to 45 mins today.
 
I'm in! I did 35 minutes of aerobics yesterday, so I'll add at least another 30 on for today.

I have already completed 15 minutes on my Gazelle, and will do another 15 minutes with my WiFit Plus.

It is easy for me to do on my days off from work. But, I am a little concerned about how I will do my daily routines when back to work next week.

I have 44 minutes in so far...gonna jump on the wii fit and get that last 16 in for the day! It is 1 degree out so that walk isn't going to happen...lol. Oh wait I have a treadmill - okay 15 minutes on the tm.:thumbsup2
 
I did 30 today-got out in the chilly Florida weather and walked!!
 
This is so awesome to see so many people get workouts in. Woo hoo!

I got a new 60 minute Leslie Sansone DVD that was a 4 miler that also used bands in the 4th mile and boosted walking in miles 2 & 3. Really good workout!!
