Our bl***y washing machine has packed up!! Ive got to wash all of my work clothes and we go on holiday in 13 days so this is really the last thing I need! :furious:

So now I have to decide whether to rush out and buy one this week or use launderettes and wait till the January sales??? :confused3

:furious: I would hate for that to happen, Especially near our holiday, Hopefully you can get all of your clothes ready for your holiday :thumbsup2

Do'h, that really is one of the worst things to happen just before your holiday! :badpc:

I would personally wait for the sales, and just make sure I have somewhere to wash everything a night or two before we actually go. :thumbsup2

There's always leafs :rolleyes1

If it was me I would like to know I have a nice new machine waiting for me when I got back of my hols - think of all those holiday clothes to wash!

Washing machines are manufactured to have their parts go wrong in turn - as soon as the first thing goes wrong and you get it fixed the next part will go wrong :)

I hate it when my washing machine or tumble dryer breaks down, I would be straight down to my nearest electrical store for opening tomorrow morning

I hope you get it sorted soon ;)

Oh Jen - that's a real nuisance, hope you'll get it sorted soon. Personally I wouldn't wait for the january sales, this time of year is usually pretty good price wise on 'white goods' as they're not generally on peoples xmas list. Currys, Dixons etc have fairly good prices.

I dont really want to wait for the sales but then again I dont really want to spend a few hundred quid on one now 12 days before we go on holiday!! Im veering towards doing the washing at my mums (she doesnt know this yet!!)for the next couple of weeks and getting one when we get back, it will be a real pain to do this but at least I wont have to spend the cash on it now!!

Sounds like a great idea Jen :thumbsup2

When you do get round to buying a new one, its worth visiting places like comet to see the one you like.

Then go home and order online.

We recently purchased a new cooker, comets shop price £650

http://www.electricaldiscountuk.co.uk/ price £499 (£518 inc delivery) ! and they managed to deliver next day due to the van being in the area or something.

So well worth looking online for large items.
