good morning!!

how is everyone? i have been MIA and i apologize, but we all know how RL can be. fortunately i have been able to get more hours at work to help pay for our new carpeting we just ordered :thumbsup2

pleased to say I'm down 1 pound this week....and you?
 
I am up 2 lbs this week. I would love to blame it on not feeling well, not sick, just not well, but it has more to do with my commitment I think! Here is to the start of a great new week!

I'm down 1.5. I'm a little surprised. I've done pretty well with food, but not so much with exercise. I just seem to be struggling with getting started again (yeah, i know, I've been saying that for days. It's time to stop complaining and start doing!)

This weekend will be a bit iffy, I'm afraid. I'm not going to be with my family for Thanksgiving - the first time in 6 years, and I'm usually the host - so I'm sending cookies. I'm going to try baking while chewing on cinnamon gum and see if that helps. It's not like I have to taste like I do when cooking. I could make these cookies in my sleep (and some years I think I have!)

Thanksgiving here will be fine, we'll be with DH's family, so I'm not sad about it, it will just be different. Not to mention that his family doesn't do Thanksgiving food like we do. Should be an easy food day for me. Who wants to eat mac and cheese with fried turkey!!! (I'm kidding, mostly. The food is great, it's just not MY food, KWIM?) Besides, I really do enjoy their company, at least most of them, so it's all good.

So - back to the weight loss journey. My goal this weekend is to not eat too many cookies and to get my butt moving again. Hope everyone else is having a great day!
 
I am down 2.4 lbs this week.:yay: I can't believe it. Weighed myself 2x's to make my unbelieving eyes believe. I've been working all week so that helps and have been doing only veggies and fruits during the day. Halloween wasn't too hard, candy is not my downfall...good food is!:worship:

Glad to see our team was the biggest loser 2 weeks in a row. It's nice to be on top once in awhile for all our efforts.

I stayed the same this week. It's my fault--I've been avoiding the gym. However, I got back there this morning, so should be back on track.

Congrats to all the losers!!!!
 
.4 pound loss for me. BUT at WW on Tuesday, I hit my 10 pound loss! :cool1:
I've got to get the H'ween candy out of the house though -- the Reese's cups are calling my name!

OK, I have to share this with someone...and I'm not allowed to talk about it. DD was notified today that she has been admitted to her second choice university for next year. She considers it "not a big deal" because she fully expected to get in there. She won't hear from her first choice school till sometime after the new year; it is possible that she won't be admitted there as it is a competitive school.

SHE may think it's no big deal, but I'm just happy that she has been accepted at a school that she considers to be an acceptable alternative!
 
Sorry that I have been MIA been going through a little "life" the past week or so and need a "time out." I am hoping to get everything back on track this week. I will be sure to check in more often this week.
 
Hello everyone!

I'm down .8 this week. I'm really ok with that and can't believe I even saw a loss after the way I ate last weekend. It was NOT pretty! But, I was good all week and I guess that showed on the scale, even if just a little. I just keep telling myself that every loss, even a few ounces, all add up to a lot of pounds lost overall. I need to remember that this isn't a race or a contest. I'm not being graded or judged by anyone on quickly the pounds come off.

We're doing such an awesome job as a team! Let's keep it up for another week! Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
 
"WEIGH" TO GO RED TEAM!!!!! Another great week for our team! I was down 1.6 pounds this week. Trying to stay on task tracking my foods.
 
Hey red team...Happy Sunday. I am down 1.4 lbs this week. Not as great as last week but still a loss.

It will be tough over the next few weeks. I love Thanksgiving and all the food that goes with it. I will be able to eat all the turkey I want but the breads and stuffing and pies will be the toughest to avoid.
 
It was great to see the Red team as number one two weeks in a row. We have been really working hard, and it shows. Congrats to all our losers this week!:cool1:
I was down 1.6 after two weeks of gains, and am so far still on track. If I can keep up with the exercise, it usually helps keep me motivated to stay on track with the food, and when I do go crazy eating, I'll try to exercise a little longer the next day.

Hope you all are having a wonderful, losing weekend. We are off to my son's last soccer game today, and the weather is beautiful- almost 60 degrees!!

been a busy weekend here, but feels very motivating to get some chores down and crossed off the to-do list :thumbsup2

i'm determined to make this week count! got a pretty good workout in yesterday and convincing myself to go out for a LW this afternoon. it has gotten much chillier here.....brisk, yea that's it...brisk

Thinking of everyone here -- let's go team!! What's your exercise plan for this week? What's your eating strategy to avoid those holiday treats creeping into your workplace? How will you make your holiday favorites easier on the waistline this year?

I'm back home now. And it was lovely to hear about your week. Way to go guys.

I'm going to have a tough week. I shouldn't put that out but it's true. Because I'm sad - funeral out of province that's where I was since Wednesday - I don't feel like keepimg on track at all. It's like I don't care. That plus my period coming is not a good combo.

AKDFLJLDEKJFRRHHH!!!!! That's me swearing. :lmao: ;) . I'll get through it and see what comes on Friday.

HI everyone! I weighed in late because we were gone for my son's birthday. I maintained. I don't know if there are any consequences to weighing in late, but I hope not. I am happy to see that I maintained. With going away, many food choices weren't the best. However, we were on the go alot, so I'm thinking I burned alot of it off. :cool1: Now I need to get back into the groove of things....

Question of the Day - Monday

Do you have any hobbies to help you take your mind off of food?
 
Hobbies--I do all kinds of needlework--cross stitch, needlepoint, sewing, knitting. DOn't know if it keeps my MIND off food, but it certainly keeps my hands busy.

The other thing that works for me is running errands, etc. during challenge times. If I'm out, food isn't available.

for me my hobby is scrapbooking/card making. i have a 'corner' in the basement that i sneak away too.

illinimouse -- great job maintaining through temptations!!

Do you have any hobbies to help you take your mind off of food?

I'm also a needlework girl.. mostly counted cross stitch. I'd like to go back to crocheting or learn to knit, I just haven't taken the time to do it yet.

lisaviolet - you'll be ok if you take it one day at a time. Sometimes it's how you handle the week, or two weeks or the stressful event, not how you do in one day. Do what you need to to get through the stress one day at a time.
