Well I lost this week. I seem to lose and gain the same 5 pounds over & over this year. I have not had a lasting change since December. But I won't let it keep me down. I will keep working at it. I will never go back to the 243 pound person I was 2 years ago.
I know exactly what you mean. I had lost 40, and like you spend about a year trying to lose more, to no avail, but had kept it off, til this summer, when I gained back 17. I've lost 8 of that, and am back under 200, and determined not to go over 200 again. It is a lifestyle change, and I've been at it this time for over 3 years, but I feel so much better than I did when I started. I'd love to be 10-12, but a 14-16 right now feels so much better than the 18-20 I was when I started. I wasn't surprised to have such a big gain this summer, I had stopped exercising almost completely, and was not watching what I ate at all, and fell right back into those old bad habits. Not again. You are doing awesome to keep the weight off. It's so much tougher the closer you are to goal.
Question of the Day - Friday
What time of the day fo you find it most difficult to stay on track? How do you overcome this?
For me, it's in the evening, watching tv after my son is in bed. I try to make a cup of tea or ff cocoa instead of eating, and if I journal what I am going to eat, and really mesure it out before I eat it, I do better. Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels, and I try to remember that.
Good morning! I just wanted to share with you one of the things I did to make someones Halloween special for the COW. I bought a package of Halloween cards and sent them to people who I haven't been in touch with for awhile, or people that I knew could use a pick me up. Who doesn't enjoy getting a surprise card in the mail? Last night I had an e-mail from one of the card recipients saying it was a nice surprise to get a card in the mail. I sent some cards out to some older folks who for the most part are alone alot of the time. Some of them went out to people I think about alot and just don't seem to find the time to call. I enjoyed writing the notes in them and it felt good just to make the connection with them again. Sometimes it truly is the little things in life that can brighten your day.
Whose day can YOU brighten today?
What a great idea. It is always so nice to get a card in the mail.
Well, Lisa, I must us the only word this week. I
ONLY gained 0.8 this week, after a totally out of control weekend. I got back on track as of tuesday, and am very happy I didn't gain more. I stopped journalling, and boy does that make me spiral downward. Plus I have been exercising pretty much every morning, and that makes such a difference.
Congratulations to all of our losers!!

We are going to be the biggest losers one week, I know it. Hang in there if you maintained or gained. Slow and steady, we're making the healthy changes to our life that will make a big difference over the long haul.
Have a great, losing weekend everyone!
