Well,

I don't have my glasses on so I hope I'm not opening up a duplicate. I figure this is okay to open this up.

Hey guys!:lovestruc I'm down 1.4 and very pleased. Hope you all had a fantastic day yesterday.

Lisa

Thats great lisaviolet!!!!!!!!!
I lost 3.5 pounds this week!!! I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Do we end on the 12th or the 19th? I can't remember. The 16th is the show I think.

Our last weigh in / week will be the week of 12/12 with results posted by the finale on the 16th.

Good Morning everyone.

I was worried I wouldn't have a loss this week, with all the yummy food on Thursday. I didn't eat much, but more then I normally do.

For the week I am down 3.9 lbs! A grand total of 58 lbs. A total of 24 lbs since I joined BL

Yesterday was my birthday, so I wanted to buy a new outfit. I went to Ann Taylor Loft, a store I couldn't shop at before, and found I fit it the clothes. No more avenue or Lane Bryant for me.:cool1:

I hope everyone had a great week and good luck for high losses:yay:

wow! :worship: you "losers" are impressing and inspiring!! WTG :cool1:

i have returned home from a couple days of family time -- i did step on the scale mid-morning and i'm up from last week. i needed to see that to fully enforce in my mind that today i'm back to regular eating to get it under control for next friday :upsidedow i feel like disneynut where i didn't overeat way out of control, but definately consumed more calories than my norm. and probably less water, unless beer counts?? :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

calorie burning today will be christmas decorating! i swear getting all those tubs out of the crawlspace should count as cardio!:santa:

Happy birthday!! party: And congratulations on your awesome loss this week, and to date!! 58 pounds is fantastic. What a great feeling to go shopping and celebrate your success.

It's hard to believe there is only 2 weeks left. I was just looking at my weight losses for this challenge, and I've been up and down and down a total of 3.2 for the 3 months. I almost wrote "only" 3.2, but this is good for me. Like you Lisa, I need to live, and enjoy food, and slow and steady is the way to go. I'm down .6 this week, which with thanksgiving, that is a big success for me. I ate what I wanted and did not have seconds, and got right back on track yesterday.

First of all,

Good to see all of you. I was getting a tad nervous here with just the three of us. :lmao:

Thanks Christa. So only two more weigh ins! Wow.

 on the only. Cute.

You know Kathy I'm so psyched as I'm coming near the end of the journey. And so pleased with myself. I have 18-35 to go. Big range. A total guess. But time will tell. I hope to get there within the next six months. It's been so long I have no idea where to land so to speak. But I always said as long as I'm exercising in a good manner. Ie. concentrating on that. And not emotionally overeating or from boredom (except once in awhile of course). Well, wherever my weight stops is goal. So time will tell where goal is.....

.6 on Thanksgiving weekend is fantastic Kathy. And what I love is the lack of huge swings. I honestly feel that big swings show too strict on the other days. And at my age - 41 - I won't do that anymore. Actually that thought started this weight loss years ago. I decided I would figure it all out somehow by eating everything and would never yo yo again. And that was years ago. I wish I could tell that part of me all those years ago "no worries" - "you'll get there" - "it will work out" and "you're smart".

Everything is part of the journey. Days of exercising/not exercising/losing/gaining/eating/overeating/not overeating. Every single type of day is part of the success. I tell that to students all the time. (I teach new immigrants to Canada). Mistakes are wonderful. Fantastic. That's the only way to get there. You learn from them every time. You must be okay with making mistakes. Well, wasn't that hypocritical of me. Saying all that and never living it myself. Well, I'm finally there too. Being so much easier on myself. Knowing that every single day is not perfect. Live and learn.

What a late night novel!:lmao: Thanks Kathy. :lovestruc

Thanks Lisa,
You are the best, and you make me feel I am not alone in my very slow progress. I re-started ww 3 years ago in sept, and at that time decided I was not going to stop, no matter how long it took to lose this weight. I had lost almost 40 pounds over the first 2 years, and it was really slowing down, so I took a year and did it on my own and kept it off for 8 months, but over the summer, regained 17 pounds. Went back this sept, and was proud to have kept 20 pounds off, rather than gaining it all back, plus another 20. I try to be positive about it all, and not beat myself up when I slip a bit. I like the meetings and the support I get at ww, and have decided to keep going for me. I started at 226, and am 196 now, and don't know where I'll end up either. WW says 155, but I can't picture it. I remember a good time in my life when I weighed around 170 and feeling great. My first big goal to get to 181, which was my weight the very first time I joined ww about 20 years ago. At that time I got down to the 140s, but now that I'm in my 40s, I can't imagine it. I'd love to be a 12, right now I'm a 16. I definitely feel better now than I have before even below this weight, because I'm in better shape, and exercising regularly, and eating healthier than I've ever done before.
I can understand your goal range. Like I said, I can't imagine 155, but when I hit 170, maybe I'll feel differently, and want to go further. That's a few years away. Realistically, I've lost 10 pounds/ year, and though some came back, they won't again. I know for me now I need to keep up the exercise, and what I'm doing now, is something I can see myself continueing long term.
Sorry I'm a little long winded. I've got to get back to cleaning my house, and then it's off to a birthday party. I'm planning to have pizza, but not cake. My son's bday is next weekend, so I'm going to wait and have his cake. It is all about the choices.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

Great job everybody! I am late weighing in this week. Down .4 lbs. Wasn't around my scale for a week but I'll take it. I splurged a little this week but did exercise even had some chocolate for the first time in weeks.

2 more weeks to go.

Let's all be big losers this week!

Linda

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I just weighed in and I am up. Part of it, I think/hope is just a correction from my huge loss last week. I wasn't expecting a HUGE loss but I expected to lose something or at the very least maintain. With this I only have ONE MORE weigh in for the challange. And 3 before we leave for Disneyland.

No change for me this week. I guess that is good considering I did some damage on Thanksgiving!

Good luck to everyone over the final two weeks of our BL challenge!

at that time decided I was not going to stop, no matter how long it took to lose this weight.
.

I think that's it Kathy. I loved reading about your journey. And sometimes one needs to concentrate on maintaining as well. I've really realized that time goes on anyway. It goes fast, eh? When I was younger I need it NOW. As in right now. And if not well I just left it. That's what I did ten years ago just decided I'm giving up control in that it would come off how it wants to. And I just worked on the emotional aspect that was keeping me back. And th e weight, although slow, has seemed very simple. When you take out emotional eating it's not as hard. I also accepted me. I think it's really important to accept the now. Know you want different or more. Of course. But love the now. I think I said this before on here but I never understood those who lose weight and hate or are grossed out by their before. My goodness that body, that person - you - deserves compassion too.

Long winded??? :lmao: I am the queen. :rotfl:

You will never overtake the queen Kathy! ;)

Yeah Linda. :thumbsup2 Boy, we did well guys.

Bearer of bad news!!! Christa!:lovestruc Don't make me talk about all your success and how inspiring it is. I too experience what you said. One week I was down farther than I thought. And I thought interesting - but the next was a really low loss and I went "what?". And then oh I get it. The scale oh the scale. Disneyland. Nice. My brother lives close by.

No change for me this week. I guess that is good considering I did some damage on Thanksgiving!

Good luck to everyone over the final two weeks of our BL challenge!

Maintaining. Greatly, greatly underestimated.

I learned that this year. My intent after the January BL was to maintain for at least six months. I put that as a goal. Which others find strange - why not lose? And I did maintain - only up three pounds when I got back here to BL again. Imagine if I said lose, lose, lose and I wasn't successful on my own. That's when people gain. Because it's so frustrating to start to gain back. And people get embarassed sometimes. You know the I lost thirty last year. But I gained forty. But could have jumped back on at five pounds up. But those five seem so huge. When they are nothing. Maintaining is a good good thing!!! I really think it's good to give yourself a break from the focus once in awhile and just live. Knowing you're keeping up good habits and the goal is to hold it for awhile. And then focus again.

Oh MickeyMagic how I ramble. :lmao: That was me soapboxing. Not about your maintain. I just like to celebrate it. :woohoo:

we are very wise women on our team ::yes:: :yay:

today i'm heading back to the gym after an unplanned week off and i'm dreading it. this is why i shouldn't let it go even when i think i'm too busy! i did a sneak WI today and i've lost a little holiday fluff, hope to flush it all before friday. i'm not sure overall how much i've lost on BL but i know i have and especially this time of year i'm very thankful for it!

have a great day losers!

Hear Ye Hear Ye, the Weightkeeper speaks

I am getting burned out and this weeks numbers are late again. The tabulations are made but I like to sleep on everything and check it in the morning to see how things look then. When I rush I make mistakes as the one I am about to confess to. Sorry ladies.

Sometimes I get weight reports that I question. I then contact the sender to verify the numbers. If I get the correct information all is well. If I do not we have problems.

During this challenge I have received numerous weight reports with 10 pound gains. I know it is possible to gain 10 pounds in one week. It could even out a huge loss, or be water gain, TOM (time of month), or just a REALLY bed week. Usually I contact a large gainer to question the report. Sometimes I do not. Week 8 I had a large gainer I did not contact. The next week they had a huge loss. After a contact the error was discovered. Fortunately this error did not effect the weekly team standings.

Last week was another 10 pound error. Unfortunately my questioning PM sent Tuesday morning was not answered before I posted the official announcement. Wednesday evening the PM was answered with 'oops I made a mistake and reported the wrong weight'. By then I was in Thanksgiving mode and had to walk away from everything BL.

Loyal readers here are the morals to the story

* Brenda - contact every person that gains over 6 pounds in one week to verify their report and do not make any announcement until a response is received no matter how long it takes.

* Losers - please respond quickly to my requests and PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE double check your PM or email before you send it to make sure you typed in your weight correctly.

Now let’s take at look at the correct line up for week 10.

#1-The Black Team-0.594%

Congratulations to the Black team that actually won last week. As a Blue team member who thought we had won last week it really hurts to admit this but I must be fair. That is what I am paid for. Oh never mind I don't get paid anything to do this. I must be crazy. Only 2 more weigh ins and then I can take my computer in for a tune up. It has been running like molasses lately and it certainly can't be due to operator error.

Here's a teaser. Week 11 numbers REALLY pleasantly surprised me. crunkyjens-Jen on the Black team said 'I must have ate magical turkey or something'. Jen you sure did and so did 12 other losers. We had 13 losses for the week, 5 maintains and only 3 gains. Great work ladies!! More excitement to follow tomorrow.

brenda --- so soory to hear you are getting burned out b/c I totally :worship: and :thanks: for all the time you put into this! numbers and calculations and me are not good friends ;0)

Hear Ye Hear Ye, the Weightkeeper speaks

There is a nip in the air. The Christmas carols have started. Christmas specials are on TV. The mall decorations are up. It's that time of the year to celebrate. It's also the time that many Americans put on a few pounds. Losers we need to stick together to make sure that is not us. Let's finish up this challenge with a bang. Let's triumphantly enter the holidays ready to tackle the obstacles that stand between us and our healthy lifestyle.

I am glad so many had some of Jens 'magical turkey' last week. Of our 23 weigh ins we had only 3 gains for 5.2 pounds, 5 maintains, and 15 losses for 27.9 pounds. Great job ladies!

#1-The Red Team-0.770%

Congratulations Red! The score now sits at Black 5, Red 4, and Blue 2 weeks at #1. Will the Red team get #1 next week and tie Black? Will Black get #1 to pull ahead? Will Blue come from behind to claim a victory? If everyone works as a team anything is possible. Good Luck to everyone as we finish up our last two weeks of BL6.

Yes our last two weeks. This is it gang. How will you finish this thing up? I believe my records say we had 158 people commit to this at one time or another and we now have 35 left. You are part of the 22% that are still here, 78% have dropped out. Just staying to the end is an accomplishment and you should be commended for that. Let's get truly committed and get losing!!

Have a healthy day!

Lisa - Thanks for the words of wisdom and encouragement. You are totally right. Maintaining IS underestimated. I will look on it differently from now on. Still, hoping to post some losses in the final two weeks!

Brenda - Thanks SO VERY MUCH for tallying and posting the totals each week. I have really enjoyed being a part of this and will continue till the end.

Red Team - Let's claim first place again this week! We can do it!!! So far, I am on track for a loss this week. I am keeping up my food journal and making fairly good choice and have been exercising each day. Here's to a good week! :dogdance:
