Thanks for the nice welcome and congratulations to HOLLY! and all of the Blue team Superstars! :cheer2:

oh and congrats to the black team too...:rolleyes1

My mom is my partner in crime in gaining the weight and support system in losing it too... I am lucky to have her! :flower3:

I had WI today and I gained .4 :(. Last week I did WI on Thursday because I was sick on Tuesday. I am tempted to weigh on my own scale on Thursday just to see what the difference would be.

So far I'm doing very well on the mini challenge- I had iced tea again at dinner despite my tempation for soda.

My support system is pretty much everybody I know. All my friends, family and co-workers are always really supportive and give me tips or will go on a walk with me.

QOTD for Wednesday:
Who is your support system for weight loss/ getting healthy?

It is so important to have someone on your side, tell us who helps you out, and what they do to help you.

At the moment my blue team is my fantastic support system. My family are sick of me i think always on some diet or another and my poor husband is sick of me being on a diet when it suits me but not when I fancy something naughty.

I had a sneaky weigh in on Wii Fit today and it is looking good for a loss.

Will let you know the official weigh in on Friday lol.

I am pleased with myself for getting through the last coupla days.

Well in all honesty... it's just me. Sure my DH supports me and knows all about my Low Carb way of life, but it's me who decided what to put in my face. Even when I gained all my weight back a few years back he still loved me, but never got on me to get working to become healthier.
We ar transplants to Indiana so I really don't have any close friends here, which I do not like. I would love to get away on a weekend and go out with a girlfriend shopping, or whathave ya, but I wont argue my DD loves to shop and hang out with mom right now. I am sure that will slowly end when she becomes a teen.

My DH is my support system most of the time. He does a pretty good job of keeping me motivated by telling me that he can see a difference, asking how I'm doing, what I'm doing, and what he can do to help. It's a lot easier knowing he supports me. :lovestruc

She's named after Sleeping Beauty.

You know, when I first read the QOTD I thought it said 'something I DON'T like about myself'. I thought that was rather odd.:rotfl:

That's a really hard question. Really. I guess I can be funny. And I have great shoes...

I walked this am and have done well with food. I am so tired from this cold and I also did this:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1962133

Dh called and is going to be in Afghanistan longer than we thought. I really need a vacation, and I have to admit after the day I've had it's going to be harder to eat right and do right tonight.:guilty:

I love your Halloween village! :thumbsup2 I'm soooo jealous! I can't have things like that just yet because of my 3 year old's need to touch and handle everything in site...

Congratulations Holly!

Support system-a few of my coworkers, 2 of my family members that I walk with some nights, DH and myself. I try to make good food choices (doesn't always happen) and then I walk with my support system.

Go Blue Team - only 2 more days before the weigh in, you can do it!

Congratulations to Holly!! And congrats to all the Blue Team superstar losers!

For my support system: right now I am leaning on my sis-in-law who is also my best friend! She's also on our Blue Team but due to work has not yet been able to post. We are in this together! I have also drawn a lot of strength from our blue team posts!

Dianatlol: I see from your signature you are going on a cruise in January? When? We're crusing January 17!

Go Blue !

Wow!! Thanks so much for all the congratulations but I will say I couldn't have done it without all of you. Everytime I went to eat something I shouldn't I kept thinking of the team. This really is a group effort and I want to offer congratulations to every single person on our team.

And, I do want to apologize for not posting the past few days. My daughter decided to give me her massive cold and I haven't been feeling well.

I will try and answer all the QOTD's.

1. Well, I love Goofy more than anything (other than my DH). He suggested Goofy Groupie and is stuck.

2. I think I have really pretty eyes. I should actually play them up more.

3. My biggest supporter is my DH and all of you. I really mean it when I say I have all of you in mind every day when battling my weight loss.

Hope everyone is having a great second week. I'm actually looking forward to weigh in on Friday.

Go Blue Team!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Who is your support system for weight loss/ getting healthy?

My support system is everyone I know. I go back to my family doctor in December and I hope to be lighter by then so everyone is backing me up. Dr. will be so excited!

So I did the Biggest Loser DVD last night - only Level 1 with the warm up and cool down. Boy am I feeling some forgotten muscles today. It doesn't hurt bad but I definately know they're there. I am planning on sticking with just the Level 1 portion for at least a week before I add anything else.

I'll check back later.

Sabrina

Okay... I only have a few minutes becuase I'm supposed to be working. They just don't understand the Need to DIS here at the office. Maybe one day I can educate them!

First off,

Thank you Team Blue!

Last night was Young Marines with DS15. When I got home I was STARVING. I had a sandwich but then after a bit I was still hungry. I was going to grab some jerky and eat it while lying in bed watching TV but then I remembered the mini-challenge and how that was the thing I was going to quit doing. And because I didn't want to have to come confess to you guys that I'd stumbled I DIDN'T DO IT!!! I got something else to eat (okay, it was some chips and dip, but it wasn't the whole bag and jar but a measured amount, which is another of those little steps I'm working on) and sat up to eat it. I know, I know... doesn't sound like a big change. But I'm not about big changes right now. I'm all about one little thing at a time. Then the next, then the next, then the next......

Next ... WAY TO GO BLUE TEAM SUPERSTARS!!!!

And....

Lifelong_Dreamer - remember that as we grow older we find the mind much more appealing than the body. No matter how much we try to make ourselves look great the body will eventually sag. Having a keen mind is sooooo much more important. You should be proud of yourself.

shewelch - welcome!

briarmom - hang in there... we're here for you. How much longer will DH be in Afganistan?

Dianatlol - boy, isn't it amazing the stuff we go through for our kids! Excellent news that you're no longer shy. I've tried hard to make sure my kids aren't shy becuase I feel you miss out on too much when you're too shy.

Princess Vija - love the quote -- can't wait to watch teh show. And I love all the stuff you love about yourself! Great affirmations!

QOTD: My support system is you guys! DH is okay but the other night when I mentioned that I'd lost a few pounds his reply was "don't lose too much". I dunno... maybe he's threatened by the fact that all the guys on the ship are gonna be glancing my way in November 2009. Oh well... that's his problem and he'll just have to deal because I'm gonna be one hot momma!

Gotta run.... ugh, this work thing!

Sneaking in a bit of time at work...

TammyNC - boy there are definitely times I wish that was me. I'd probably almost qualify for some sort of psychiatrist's dream the way my moods go from one to the other. Usually it's not a problem but there have been times that my mouth has written a check my butt couldn't cash.

Way to go hobbester!!! An allergic reaction to McD's... now that's a great way to stay on track!!!

Woo hooo Jaime!!! So close!!! You're an inspiration to me! I'm in a 24 now and while I know I'll never ben in an 8 or 10, I'm so looking forward to being in a 16 again!!! Thanks for just being there and showing me it CAN happen with determination!

Hypermommy you sound so much like I did! I never would have thought I would be smaller then a 12 NEVER EVER...it was really strange I tried on this dress for our cruise last year it was a size 12...the lady in the store said it looked lovely but she wanted me to try a size smaller...she gave got me a smaller size and when i tried it on it fit perfectly...when I looked at the size it was a size 8 I thought I was going to faint. I mostly wear a size 8 now...I couldn't fit into most of my clothes this summer but in the past few weeks I started to wear my 8's again...it's such a great feeling and I know you will get to experience it too:goodvibes

I read some of you pretrippie last night your dh sound just like mine! How did you win your first cruise?

Peekin in....

Already got in 36oz of water.... Yay! it's 12:30.... so off to lunch for me...

BF- Yogurt- Full fat Stoneyfarms Whole milk plain
Lunch- Bunless burger with small salad and ranch
Dinner- Probably a loaded omelet....

Yummm!

I read some of you pretrippie last night your dh sound just like mine! How did you win your first cruise?

Asked a question on the DIS podcast and at the end of the year they put all the questions they'd selected to answer "on air" in a pile and they picked out one name. It was mine so we won the cruise.

Of course, now we're hooked on cruising!

So I didn't get to work out this morning but I did walk to lunch (several blocks) and by the time I got there I was feeling so good it was easy to say no to bad foods. Had a grilled shrimp salad with fat free ranch and fat free italian. Yummy and I'm stUFFed!!! :cool1: :cool1:

QOTD for Wednesday:
Who is your support system for weight loss/ getting healthy?

It is so important to have someone on your side, tell us who helps you out, and what they do to help you.

I am very lucky to have a supportive husband who knows where I want to be with my weight and he has been great at keeping me motivated...I am also very greatful to have everyone on this board I find it very nice to be surrounded by people who understand:goodvibes

Hope you are feeling better soon! :pixiedust:CONGRATULATIONS:pixiedust: on a great week.

Hi everyone,

I have been ok today but really struggling with being hungry and I know why I have not had enough water. The reason for this is because I have been so busy.
I have to get it in though it is so important.
The next few days may be a struggle as I have not got everything as carefully planned and this is where I fall down.

I will do my best but wish me luck.

Hi everyone,

I am pretty busy tonight and TIRED, DD was up about 2 hours last night in the middle of the night coughing, and was diagnosed with strep throat 2 days ago and had a earache last nigh. I am pretty tired, So PLEASE, I apologize for not doing individual comments back today.... Except that I do want to add, for those that don't have a big support system at home, I am glad you seeked out a resource elsewhere, and I am honored to be part of your support team, because it is so very important!:flower3:

Checking in... I did not have McDonalds or potato chips. I did have some bugles and I think those count for deep fried snacks. So that was a goof.:sad2: BUT, I had to drive into the city today (1 hour each way) after work, and I so wanted McDonalds, and I resisted! I had cousins sub instead. I am so proud of myself.:goodvibes

As far as my support system goes, I really do have a lot of people in my corner. I wish that I could use more of their strength to help me get through and find more strength. Anyway, my DH, DS and DD are my biggest supporters. My TaeKwonDo instructor and all of the people in the class REALLY support me. My sister, brother in law, mom and especially my Dad really support me, my BF, and various friends in the community support me. I have some online friends that I have made over the years here on DISboards, and of course my entire BLUE team!:grouphug:

Wow--when you miss a couple of days around here, you certainly miss a lot. I have read all of the posts, and though I don't have time to respond to everyone, reading the posts is certainly motivating. Hearing how others are doing and realizing that I'm not alone is fantastic. I'm going to answer the QOTD and give a brief update, and then I have to go finish being homework moniter.

My screen name: jamesnnick...it's a combination of the names of my DSS and my DS (James and Nick....in case you couldn't figure that out on your own...oh wait, the blue team is not only stunningly attractive, they're also brilliant). I did feel kind of bad after DD was born that she wasn't represented...but I don't think her 3 year old psyche will be harmed by not being part of my screen name.

Something I like about myself: I'm reliable, which sounds boring when I say it like that, but I'm the person my friends call at 3 am when they need something because they know I'll be there for them.

My support system: My DH who is supportive without being bossy and my mom who got me started on this whole thing by signing up for WW online. She is doing fantastic, and I am so proud of her. Just seeing her doing it motivates me to keep going.

I've been tired and draggy this week, so I'm not sure if I'm going to post a loss this week or not. I only missed my workout one day, and I put in an extra half hour of free step on the Wii Fit tonight, so here's hoping. I also would be really interested in any reviews anyone has of the Biggest Loser Cardio DVD because I was thinking about investing in it, but I only want to spend the money if it's good.

Thank you to those of you who are able to put the time and effort into the personal replies. It really makes a big difference, and I really appreciate it. I only wish there were a couple more hours in the day so I could be more active. Push hard through the rest of the week, and congrats to those of you who are doing well on your mini-challenges.
Jen
