:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yeah black team!!! Congratulations to the biggest losers. I've been working on the challenge drinking water everyday and i tried 2 new kinds of lettuce today. Have a great day everyone.

Congrats to the Black Team! Wow, two weeks in a row. I only lost 1 pound this week so I didn't help very much. I was lucky it wasn't a gain. I am having a very hard time getting motivated. I am doing pretty good on the exercising, but I am doing very badly on the eating part. I am going to try the new fruits and vegetables and hope to get back on track.

Way to go Clark-Kent, Big Mama, and all of you who are doing so well!

HOw is the weekly challenge going?

HOw are you doing on your eating? I had two great days (approx 1200 calories each day) TOday was not so great but I am finishing it up pretty strong with a nice dinner and then maybe another cup of tea.

Are you working out? Working out has been great this week for me. I have been up every morning to do between 25 and 30 minutes of working out. I was supposed to walk with dh on Tues afternoon but I got called to a meeting that didn't end until 5. My dh did surprise me Wed and asked me if I wanted to walk after dinner. We start out the door and he asks me how far do you want to walk 5 or 10 MILES (yes MILES):scared1: . He is a hiker and has done as much as 20 miles in one day. DOn't think he is super thin he does need to lose some weight. We finally agree on between 30 to 45 minutes. I lasted 45 minutes for 2.27 miles. NOt bad since I haven't walked most of the summer.

If you aren't working out try it for a while. For me I need both good eating and exercise in order to lose weight.

DOn't forget about getting enough sleep and try to get rid of stress. THis is not happening for me this weekk but that is for another post.

Have a losing evening. I am off to finish dinner and then finish a baby blanket that I have been knitting.

Keep up the good work.

Woo Hoo! This is so much fun! Working out is great, I've logged triple my weekly goal according to sparkpeople.com already this week. I'm back on board with planning my meals, and truly planning for indulgences. I learned almost two years ago that this isn't about dieting; it's about the rest of my life and how food and exercise fit into it.

I'm right on target with all of this weeks goals, except for my two new veggies and/or fruits. Since these two food groups have been major in my life lately, I will really have to search the market for something new. BUT IT WILL BE DONE!! Maybe a new variety of apple??

Well, I was a good doobie  in my workout yesterday; I'm so proud of myself. Even after my 5 mile walk on Tuesday and still feeling sore, I managed to run/walk 7 miles yesterday! :cool1: That felt good!!! If I don't lose weight this week after all this mileage, there isn't much I can do. But I certainly don't want to let my team down so I'm trying my darndest! :flower3: I can't do much about the new fruits & vegetables. I never have time to get to the store so if I succeed in that part of this week's challenge, it will be a miracle. Off to get ready for school! Have a great day everyone.

Good Friday Morning. Well we made it to Friday but this is the hardest part of the week for me.

We are going on a college visit tomorrow morning. I think we have to leave by 5:30 or 6 at the latest. We will have to grab breakfast but I think I have a slim fast bar or a fiber one bar to eat and some fruit and some tea and I am ready to go. Lunch is at the college so that should be interesting. I think I should be able to get some sort of veggies.

Dinner on Sat is one of my hardest meals of the week. I just don't feel like cooking on Sat. I try to cook most every night so why not one night off. Maybe I could talk the guys into Applebees and I could have one of their Weight Watcher's meals. The steak and shrimp is pretty good and dh has had it when he wasn't on a diet.

I got up this morning and walked for 25 minutes. I am very happy that I have worked out every morning this week. It feels reallly good.

Have a great day everyone. I may check in tonight but tomorrow is out until late in the day.

PS Congrats Big Mama and Clark-Kent on 25 years. You don't find too many 25 yearers any more. Dh and I will be celebrating 30 next Aug with a trip to Key West and then meeting up with ds's in Orlando for a visit to DW to celebrate a high school and hopefully a college graduation. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

GO BLACK TEAM:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Big Mama-- Aw, that is so sweet!!!! I am so proud of her too!!! 19 years married and 25 years together is a big accomplishment!!! Are you doing anything special for your 20 year anniversary??? ;) It is great that you have each other for support!!! My DH doesn't really need to lose weight, but he is very encouraging when it comes to my exercise and eating habits. You are kicking butt on this weight loss!!! You go girl!!! Keep it up and Thanks for supporting my big sis!!! :flower3:

Yes, Big Mama, I am very lucky to have Stacie as a sister - she is the reason I am willing to try this again. And thanks very much for the support - I need it SO MUCH. It is hard to find the courage to face this much weight loss one more time, but with all the great people here and my family's help, I am feeling more confident every day that I can do it. Thanks, also, for posting to my journal - it helps me to read everyone's comments and suggestions as I struggle with this from day to day. I will keep my fingers crossed for you this weekend - I know weekends are tough! And congratulations on being together with your spouse for 25 years - my husband and I are coming up on 24 and we are also still very much in love. Ain't it great???

As to the BL challenge, I have done well with eating and water consumption this week. I have also started on the tasks for this week and have completed about half of them - hopefully I will get through all of them by Wednesday morning. Exercise has not been so good this week, but that is because I had a fall Tuesday evening that got me off track for a bit - but I am hopeful that next week will be better.

Hope all of you have a great and losing weekend - GO BLACK TEAM!!!:yay:

Hi black team,

I've been doing very well this week I've lost the 6 pound i gained plus 1. I know i shouldn't weight myself everyday but i just felt thinner so i had to check. The only part of the challenge i haven't completed so far this week is the eating whole grains. I will try to tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone. I think i will go find something fun to do tomorrow.

Amanda C

ps congratulations on the long love affairs. My parents have been married for 40+ years.

Congrats Black team on Week 2!!! Everyone's doing so great. It is so nice to hear of so many long marriages.

I've been doing ok on the challenge. I was in a hurry yesterday, and really wanted to grab a mcmuffin on the way to work, but had some fiberone and yogurt instead. Haven't been to the grocery to get new vegies, but that spaghetti squash sounded good. I'm going to get there tomorrow.

Have a wonderful losing weekend.

Go black team!!!!:cheer2:

Spaghetti squash if great. Put it in the oven with just a touch of butter and cheese and it will taste like alfredo.

have a great day.

Just wanted to say that I ate out TWICE yesterday and I think I did okay with it. I walked A LOT yesterday and I'm sure that helped, plus I got all my water in, so I think I did pretty good. Today I am not feeling great, but I have to force myself to get in there and cook some stuff ahead for the week so I don't get caught without my planned meals when I need them and don't have time for cooking! I bought daikon radish and kiwi at the farmer's market - I am looking forward to trying them.

Hope everybody has a great and losing day!:grouphug:

Hey there Black Team!! Well I'm back from Disney and I'm scared to weigh in Tuesday morning. I can tell by the way my shorts are fitting that I gained - bummer - but I did eat GOOD! Oh well - back to the real world.

Way to go everyone on posting those AWESOME losses!!

Good Monday Morning.

Hope everyone is doing well. DOn't forget that weigh in is tomorrow morning and I need your actual weight and not how much you lost. Good luck everyone.

The challenge end on Tuesday night. I need your numbers by Wed midnight to get a tally. You can put this on the posting I will set up for Week 4. Don't pm me with this because I think my box will be filled with the weight losses.

Hope everyone is working hard on watching what you are eating. Talk to you soon
