Hi teammies
I seem to be struggling a bit this week. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. And not just that I'm bored so I'll eat something, but grumbly in my tumbly hungry!! I had a bad food week last week, with the b-day/anniversary etc, but have been back on the wagon. And maintaining my exercise. But I feel like I'm starving all the time. I am keeping up with my H2O (about 6 bottles/day). Hoping this is some new metabolism thing and it will pan out and cause me to lose more!
This weeks challenge is an easy one for me. The exercise is no problem.
Complete 150 minutes of exercise this week -- max 5 pts
Seperate from your regular workout -- take a walk (minimum 10 mins) 5 times this week -- 5 pts max
Complete three 45 minute cardio workouts this week -- max 10 pts -- 3 workouts of 45 mins = 5 pts; 6 workouts of 45 mins = 10 pts
Share with your team in the team weekly thread what your favorite form of exercising is (biking, running, powerwalking, yoga, etc) and why?? -- max 5 pts
Share with your team in the team weekly thread what struggles you have overcome in making exercise a part of your routine? work schedules? burn-out? family responsbilities? Inspire others who face the same challenges! -- max 5 pts
So my favorite form of exercise would be running. Why? Because I feel strong when I run, like I can do anything I set my mind to. That "runners high" is great. It burns mad calories. Its free.
Struggles in making exercise part of my routine: Well, time is an issue, as it is for most of us. With my job, my daughter and her activity (she only does TaeKwonDo), my DH and our "hobby" (we do a podcast about cruising) and all the other "stuff"
there just aren't enough hours in the day. But I made the commitment to myself to get healthier, so now I get up at 5:30 am (and I am not a morning person at all) to exercise 4 days per week. I no longer feel guilty going to the gym on Sat or Sun morning to work out, because if I don't take care of ME, I can't take care of any one else. DH is really good about it, and sometimes I do feel like I have things to do at home that I should be doing instead of working out. But my house will never be museum quality clean, and who care's anyway? If I die because I didn't get healthier, are people going to say, well at least her house was really clean?
NO. Whats a little dust and cat fur anyway?
I hope everyone is having a good week and we can make a huge comeback for next week. I have faith in all of us.
