Good morning everyone!

I'm happy to report that I'm down 3 pounds this week!

Those are the 3 pounds I gained last week though  But hey, it's a step in the right direction.

Off to work now! :surfweb: Have a great day everyone! :sunny:

Mornin Terry!!!:surfweb: I am unhappy to report that I have no change from last week:sad2:  I was only .6 pounds away from my 50 lb clippie, now I am 3.6 from it. I am over my cold and am determined to get back on track.

Hope everyone else does better. Good job Terry on your 3 lbs lost!!!

good morning team WAY TO GO TERRY on another loss!!! :woohoo: and Veronica i say cyber high five for a maintain -- i haven't had one in TWO WEEKS!!

well i'm up again this week....the holidays have started early for me and i got regain control here. i'm sending some leftover goodies from this weekend to work with DH this morning; then i have 2 cheesecakes to deal with. i'm taking some into my work tomorrow

i'm sorry guys....what is wrong with me? i'm just like whatever and i'm not happy with it at all yet i can't shake it? my DH has been at his trimmest in a while for a few months and i hate that i resent it. i was close to another clippie, now i'm 4 lbs away. overall in BL i haven't really lost that much, not near what i had hoped for.

on another note -- we did resume our weekly strength training class at work and though it didn't take much, I got a good workout last night.

today i'm heading into Cols to do some shopping, there is a potential of snow overnight tonight so i'm going to get some supplies i need to make a few gifts.

how's everyone doing on the team challenge? i have a crockpot recipe to post later; it's for Chicken Tortilla soup. i haven't made a trail mix yet.....here's a link if you need a refresher team challenge ending tomorrow

Good Morning, Blue Team!

Well I am down 1 lbs this week. I was hoping to take off the 3 that I gained over Thanksgiving but I'll take the 1!

Terry congrats on losing your 3! That's great!

Vern - Congrats on maintaining. I know its fustrating but hang in there your doing great! You'll have your new clippy soon.

Ohmom - This time of year is tough for everyone. I told everyone that I refuse to bake cookies this year because I know I will eat them. And then my mom said the other day I want to get some supplies to bake those mint cookies :scared1: You'll get back on track soon start losing again! Keep up the good work exercising!

I hope everyone has a great WI today!

Michele

Don't know how I did it but I am down 3.4 pounds this week. I am sure part of it is the no change from last week but any way I will take it.

I am doing very badly on the team challange this week. Bad me.

and reporting that I am down 4 this week!!! HOW..... who knows??? 3 of 4 this time around is from the Thanksgiving week 3 # gain but I will take the extra down one too :thumbsup2 my scales are not as accurate as some of yours, so I go by .5 reporting but I will definately take the number today!!

Thanks Molli for the challenge site reminder I do need a refresher - I remember something about packing lunches and that is me - so maybe I will get some points :yay:

gotta run - only home for lunch time and then off to get hair cut right after work so wanted to grab a healthy snack too. I actually am hoping this week's loss is the start of doing well for next week's WI - I am leaving for NYC with the group of single moms/mentors for a mission trip weekend and I doubt that we will be really overeating but heard we will be on our feet "ALL DAY" Sat. - yikes - that sounds a bit overwhelming to me - I need to have a break now and then...............

HUGS to all and keep making good choices
:grouphug:

Good morning ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days. I've had limited computer time and I've been using it selfishly to browse the DIS Wedding and Honeymoon board for vow renewal ideas. :rolleyes1 It won't be until our 15th anniversary in 2010, but that gives me time to plan...and I'm a big planner.

So my official weigh in yesterday I was only down .2. I think I must have still been retaining water from TOM because this morning I was down over pound. Well, that will be great to count towards next weeks weigh in.

Congrats on all of the losses everyone!

Have a fantastic day!:goodvibes

Hi All,

Sorry to report I am only down .1 this week. TOM is kicking my butt. I did post 50 points on the challenge though. I just never had time to post things, sorry.

Have a good one,
Beth

Beth -- the challenge ends tonight if you want to post today there is time ;)

here are my recipes

Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup posted here on Eating Healthy Sub-forum

2 large cans chunk breast chicken meat
4 cups chicken broth - low sodium
1 tsp cumin
1 package dry enchilda seasonings
1 can corn
1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes with liquid - or smaller cut tomoatoes

Add all to crockpot and cook on low all day or high 4-6 hours until heated. Serve with low fat/low salt tortilla chips; may garnish with cilantro or low fat sour cream. I stirred to break up the chicken chunks and tomatoes

**ok we all have colds here so i'm not sure i'm tasting normal, this was good but needed 'something' not sure what. i didn't have cilantro so that may do the trick

tonight i'm making:

Slow Cooker Chicken Creole posted here on Eating Healthy Sub-forum

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, halved optional
Creole-style seasoning to taste
1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes with liquid
1 green pepper, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, diced
1 4 oz can mushrooms, drained
1 stalk celery, diced

Place chicken breasts in slow cooker, season with salt and peper and Creole-seasoning. Stir in tomatoes with liquid, celery, bell pepper, garlic, onion, and mushrooms. Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours

Hi everyone! I am reporting in a maintaining week. I guess that is better than nothing. I have been so busy scrapbooking that I haven't had much time to come on, and today I went on a field trip with DD. 1 hour bus ride each way, and I think the bus driver was smoking while we were gone because it stunk like smoke... I mean reallly bad!!!!! Now I have a doozy of a headache :headache: and I am going to go lay down and take a nap!

quick checkin before heading to bed, i have had a sinus headache off and on all day!

remember to send Vija your team challenge points, no matter how many -- they add up! I earned 40 pts this week, mainly with trying two new crockpot recipes. i'll be honest they were ok but not fab

and our new challenge is posted http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=22058712#post22058712

good night girls -- i'm going to be sure to get up and do a workout DVD first thing tomorrow morning to start accumulating my exercise minutes. heaven knows i've been eating more than i should and i have no idea why. I did get a good 30 mins on the elliptical today after PT

Whew! We must all be really busy. I haven't a loss to report, and I'm off to add my points to the challenge. Just gotta go refresh my memory. I wish this had been a two weeker, since I haven't much to add. But every little bit helps, right? Stay strong, Ladies! Says she who didn't show restraint at "wake-up Wednesday with the Christmas cookies today.

Seeing as I totally blew the last team challange last week, sorry gals, I figured I would jump in on so I took the quiz and here are my results. Not sure I totally agree with it but..l.

Your Personality Type: INSPIRATIONAL
You're the type who catalyzes other people into action. You know how to say all the right things, which is why people gravitate toward you, tell you their problems, and look to you for inspiration. You're creative and are concerned about achieving personal growth.

Your Exercise Rx:
Dual-purpose exercise. To you, working out is engaging only when it's about more than just your body. You are more apt to enjoy it if it's about being part of a community or about exploring your inner self. To enhance your spiritual side, try listening to music to set the mood for a peaceful workout.

Lasagna Roll Ups
(Makes 4 servings)
Be sure to try this new twist on traditional lasagna! This simple variation of another favorite dish served at Green Mountain is fun to make and tastes great, especially on a Fall night.
6 lasagna noodles
1 cup light ricotta cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped basil
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1 (25 ounce) jar pasta sauce (divided)
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella (or parmesan) cheese for topping

Prepare lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain, separate cooked noodles and lay on wax paper to keep them from sticking.
[Note: if not preparing immediately, also cover them with wax paper or plastic wrap so they don’t dry out.]

The quiz was fun.. Here are my results:

Your Personality Type: SPONTANEOUS
Life is a game, and your strategy is always changing. While you aren't much for rules, you'll follow them if they're simple and help you have fun.

Your Exercise Rx:
Short but sweet activities that allow you to accumulate exercise time throughout the day may be a good choice, says Ross Andersen, PhD, director of exercise science at Johns Hopkins' weight management center. Spontaneous types also tend to do well with games.

Ok, I did the quiz and I gotta say-how SCARY:scared1: true it is!!! This is me to a "T".

Your Personality Type: ORGANIZED
You feel best when life is orderly. You're punctual, dutiful, and once you agree to something, you're likely to follow through. You like rules and routine.

Your Exercise Rx:
Result-oriented workouts. You like a schedule. It's no problem for you to set aside a block of time each day for exercise or even to stick with an activity that's repetitious. But to keep your interest, you need feedback. That's why cardio machines, which let you methodically monitor your progress, might be just the ticket. If you prefer the outdoor versions of repetitive sports, keep a fitness log to monitor your progress.

I am still battling the scale-it is not being as kind as I would like, even thought I have been super strict on plan the last couple days and working out. Hoping after my 3 mile run today that things may move along. Here's hoping!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

I am feeling better today, but feel like I am losing my mind from so many things going on, especially today. I am getting together with a neighbor lady to bake cookies, I have to attend 2 classes DD takes for tae kwon do, we have our neighborhood get together tonight, and I have to clean.... OH DEAR, I am going to be BUSY today!!!!

I quick did the quiz and found it interesting, I'll have to think about this one...

Best Choices

Softball
Volleyball
Soccer
Dance classes
Water aerobics
Martial arts
Trail running
Swimming
Tai chi

Leisure Activities
Your first priority is to work regular exercise into your week. But also think about using your leisure time to burn off a few extra calories. Here are some extracurricular activities for your personality type:

nature walks
yoga

Obstacles
Different personalities don't just take to different activities; they have to contend with different obstacles too. Here's what you might find in your path, as well as ways to get around it:
Because you may often engage in activities that involve instructors or coaches, you run the risk of being turned off by corrections or criticism aimed at you--or anyone else in your group.
Solution: Remind yourself that the teacher or coach is only trying to help you; if that doesn't work, look for a class or team that focuses more on teamwork or a teacher or coach whose
style you prefer.

I took the quiz today too. Looks like Vija and I are the same!

i too was inspirational ::yes:: and you know i thought it may fit me well; I gathered a team for the Jingle Bell Run and rounded up a few that would not have gone on their own for sure; and for those kind of events it's always more important to me to stay together and have a fun experience rather than knock out a new PR. though for the best choices i was stumped --- i really don't like team sports and i sink, not swim. I do like water aerobics and even took ballet a couple years ago :teeth: i'll substitute the trail running for my trail powerwalking, that is my main exercise regimen. how funny is all that. and i definately  yoga

ok -- i didn't get up first thing this morning as planned -- my head cold has just left me dragging. My oldest DD got her impacted wisdom teeth out this morning and once we got home and get her tucked in with all her supplies and support; i forced myself into my workout clothing and did my Denise Austin DVD. i didn't want to let myself down again. tomorrow we are counting on a snow day and i'll hit my WATP in the morning

off to get some christmas chores done
