Bittersweet Trip to Plan

My father in law passed away last week and when he died my mother in law said the one thing he wanted to do was to take the whole family (DH, his brother and their families) on a cruise. Since he didn't live to do that she is taking us on one at the end of June because that is what he would have wanted. I was talk to my husband today and mentioned that since we don't have to pay for flights and our accomodations are already paid for (gotta love my DVC) we should extend our trip after the cruise go to WDW for 4 nights. To my surprise he agreed : ).

So now I get to plan an unexpected trip to WDW this year, we were not planning another trip until the end of next year (which personally is way to long for me to go without a trip). I can't book my DVC until my MIL books the cruise. We would really love to stay at BCV, what do you think my chances of getting a studio there at the end of June would be? Also, what are the studios like there? Would it be OK for DH, myself, DD7 & DS9?

We can get the 4 day military passes for $99 each which is awesome and we'll just do one park per day. It's kind of nice having something happy to think about in a sad time.

I don't know what your chances will be in getting a studio at the Beach Club, but good luck! Definitely put yourself on the waitlist if it isn't available as you never know what will open up.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your FIL. These times are never easy, but it does make you smile to think of the new memories you will make with your family. I hope the trip is a nice time of togetherness for you all.

I bet the BCV would be hard to book, but it never hurts to try. Plus, the waitlists are very helpful . you can do tow at once...ie...one for your preferred view nad one for a secondary view.

it seems they always have space at Saratoga Springs and it is nice, as well. You could book there and do 2 wait lists for the BCV.
