Bith Cerificate question

I am cruising in August with my daughter who is five. My birth certificate has the raised seal. My daugters birth certificate does not. Our state stopped doing this in 1999. They now use a special type of paper and the seal is printed in a certain type of ink that will glow under a blacklight or some type of light. Anyone else have this problem and will it be a problem?

i really dont think you will have a problem, as long as it is an official document from a certain state.....I'm not sure DCL scrutinizes such a small detail....

I know they wont accept the hospital BC with the little inked footprints....for years, my mom passed this off as an official document!!!-LOL

Just received a birth cert. in the mail for some other int'l travel and yes they are now with blue/pink special paper and don't have the traditional raised seal. I've used these before w/ no problem. They are also good since we might need them to apply for passports for future travel.

My husband had a web-site where he sent away for a birth certificate (for a small fee) with a raised seal. I can't find the web address. Does anyone know it. A friend needs it. Thank you.

My hospital certicificate has the raised seal.

Only problem is hospital certificates aren't acceptable, seal or no seal.
