Was thinking of trying here instead of Chef's de France. As I'm going solo, will this be awkward? Is this more for couples? How is the food? Can I request a table by the window? Is this restaurant part of the dining plan?

Bumping for some replies. Been quite some time since we've eaten there, tho the food was quite good.

My husband and I ate there about a year ago. The food and service were wonderful! I do not think that you would have any issues with dining solo in this restaurant. In fact, I think that it would be a wonderful place to do so. You will not be rushed, would not feel uncomfortable reading while you ate (this is what I like to do when I dine solo), and would get great service. I would think that you could request a table by a window. Not sure about the dining plan, as I have never done it, myself. Enjoy!

I was glad to see this post since this is one of the few places we have never dined at before. Maybe on our next trip we will have to try it.

I am trying this for the first time for our February trip. However I do know that it is NOT on the dining plan. I am either paying OOP or using my Disney Visa rewards.

my husband and i had a late lunch there last month. you will not feel awkward there, it is very laid back, we had a great meal, nice wine, and a very good waiter. we sat by the window, it was nice watching the people outside and also we saw santa walking by. not sure about dining plan, we did not use it. have fun.

I highly recommend the Bistro de Paris. My DH and I ate there during our anniversary trip in September and loved it. Although it is a bit romantic, I think you would feel very comfortable eating solo there. As everyone has said, the food and service is wonderful. I would recommend requesting a table by the window when you check in for your ADR. We were seated at one and love it. As someone else also mentioned, you will not feel rushed at all. Just keep in mind the dress code here is what Disney calls business casual. I would feel a little uncomfortable wearing tatty shorts and flip flops.

I would definately skip Chef de France. The food was nothing special, the service lacked any magic at all in that we felt we were ignored. And the diningroom felt very crowded. I wouldn't feel as comfortable eating solo here.
