Ahhh...information overload has caused me confusion!!! I thought I had read somewhere that you could watch IllumiNations from Bistro de Paris. But now that I've made my ADRs I can't find anything suggesting that that is true. Can anyone, and I've been reading these boards so I know someone can, tell me the absolute truth!

I'll keep my ADRs regardless because DH and I want a nice quiet meal for the night we hired a sitter. But if you can't watch IllumiNations from Bistro, any tips on someplace nearby.

Thanks!

Bistro is within view of Illuminations, but you won't have a great view. If you ask for a window seat you will be able to see it. The music is not piped in, but if you open a window you can hear it. Downstairs at Chef's you have a better view due to the large windows.
If illuminations is very important to you, plan to walk out side for it after dinner. That way you will get the full effect of Illuminations. I'm sure that the staff will make sure that you don't miss it.

We ate there last Thursday. We had a 7 reservation and did not get out in time for Illuminations (no big deal to us since we saw it 2 nights before). You could see it from inside and a window table would have a better view, but still not a great view. But the food was so good.....

You can see it if you're in a window seat but the windows are small. We watched it outside and told our server when we sat down that we wanted to watch it (our PS was at 8:30 pm) and the kitchen got put on hold. Enjoy your meal! I love Bistro.

Keep in mind that about 90% of the seats are not near the windows, and therefore provide no view. Window seats are among the most sought-after seats at that restaurant. We asked, and were turned down flat.

We were able to get a window seat only because we were there on a VERY slow night, the restaurant was only about 25% full.

The view really isn't that good anyhow.

Thank you all. Mostly I think I'm glad I have not gone completely crazy :p planning this first trip. So I am relieved that while maybe not a great view, you can see IllumiNations from a window, I didn't just make that up!

A nice quiet meal is most important to us and it sounds like we're not in a bad spot if we decide we want to see IllumiNations too. We'll try for a window seat but won't expect one. I'm so happy. :Pinkbounc
