DH & I have always wanted to try this restaurant and even had an adr there last trip (we were just too hot and tired that day - and yes I did cancel it!LOL)

It's very rarely mentioned and I know it's expensive. I guess my question is:

Is it worth the money? What would you recommend to order or is the special tasting menu with wine worth doing?

We have done V&A once, and honestly though it was very very nice, we both found it a little stuffy and overpriced (just our opinion!!!), and too much food.

If you didn't like V&A, you probably will not like Bistro. The waiters will be in tuxedos and will be French and yes, it may be considered stuffy if you are not accustomed to eating in these types of places. The prices are similar to V&A. I actually like Bistro's dining area better than V&A's. It's a little prettier and I think a bit more intimate. The food is slightly less ambitious but I've never left here unsatisifed with the food.

I think it's overlooked by many because it's not on a dining plan, does not have a children's menu and priced higher than most want to spend. Plus its a place where most dress for dinner, not likely to see people in park clothes here. I certainly would not be comfortable coming from the parks, all hot and sweaty, and eating here.

DH and I eat here every trip and occasionally do the tasting menu, depending on the courses offered. I don't think I've ever had the same thing twice as I prefer to be adventurous but I don't recall ever not liking something I've had.

We loved our dinner at Bistro Paris. :thumbsup2

Pakey's post pretty much hits the nail on the head. :goodvibes

Excellent answer. The changing menu is one of the things I like most about Bistro. Yes I like always being able to go to Artist Point and get the Cedar Salmon, but there is something to be said for variety and mixing it up. Everything is not a home run for every palate, but there is always something good and IME excellent service.

We've done several of the tasting menus, and it is less food/wine than V&A. I also think, being in a park, it is a bit less stuffy, but really that has a lot to do with the diners. We've done V&A twice at the chef's table and were totally relaxed and comfortable. At Bistro, we always have fun, talk to the waiters who often welcome the more amiable guests, makes for a good night for them.

Don't know if this works with getting ADRs but my best advice is to check the menus online, and see if it any of it appeals to you. If not, you have your answer. FWIW.
