My husband & I want to take our 7- and 5-year-old with us. It doesn't look like they have a kids' menu; does anyone take their children to this restaurant? We (w/out kids) have eaten there twice before and loved it; we don't want to eat downstairs because we have done that TOO many times and are tired of it.:)

We ate at the Bistro with our 7 and 4 year olds on November 9th. Absolutely no problems (and fabulous food!). They do have a kids menu and were very attentive to the children. Definitely skip downstairs and head on up, kids and all!

Yes, they have a kids menu (or at least they did in May), and certainly they welcome kids.

However, it is a quieter, more sophisticated atmosphere than Chefs. And our experience has been that the service is a bit slow, though I'm told that's a French thing...

So I wouldn't say its the BEST choice for kids (Chefs would be better), but certainly there's nothing wrong with bringing kids there.

Never miss Bistro when we are except once when we could not get the PS. They have a kids menu, but ours never ate off it so we can't tell you how good it is.

As for the speed it is typical of any upper tier restaurant in most cities. The difference is that most of these restaurants don't handle families well. IMHO Bistro handles families well...

We took our DS (3) and our friends took their DS and DD (5 and 7) when we visited last.

The restaurant did have a childrens menu, and all of the children seemed to enjoy their meal. We prefer Bistro de Paris MUCH MORE than Chefs De France and the CM's were very nice and welcomed all of the children in.

I wouldn't hesitate in going their with children.

Richard.

CarolynK,

Yes, take the kids! My 8 year old loves it. He is a good eater though and has not looked at a kid's menu since he was 5. But, we were just there in October and the table behind us had 2 younger ones who colored and seemed to have a good time. My ds is now 11 and insists we go to Bistro our first night. We always ask for a window table and have always gotten one. The waiters and the managers are always extremely attentive to BOTH of us. We usually visit WDW 2 - 3 times a year and the Bistro is consistent. I have always found them to be extremely interested in pleasing. In October I did not care for the preparation of the evening special fish and asked for another preparation if at all possible, the Chef came out to our table, chatted with me and then produced exactly what I had suggested!!!!!!

I think you will find the same attention whether its buttered noodles or filet mignon with lobster(my son's favorite).

You can also enjoy Illuminations without standing!!!

Have fun!
