Bistro De Paris.....our "just desserts" review

HE DIDNT EVEN POUR IT IN???? Oh my gosh!!:sad2:

There's a place here in New Orleans (COmmander's Palace) that serves warm bread pudding souffle and they come by and poke a hole in the top and pour in fresh hot cream! YUM!:worship: Best thing you will ever eat!

WOW....what lousy service......but the desserts look wonderful!!

Your desserts look delicious! Glad I found your review! Now as for those buffet pants...OMG...in our house all pants are buffet pants...just unbutton and unzip! :rotfl: Probably not good restaurant etiquette though. :rolleyes1

Glad to hear the Shouffle chaud au Grand-Marnier is still there. It is something I still dream of.

There is a reason they call this stuff Food Porn!

Moving on....cause one can NEVER eat enough DESSERT!

Shouffle chaud au Grand-Marnier, emulsion a l’orange sanguine

Warm Grand Marnier soufflé served with blood orange emulsion

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

.... and with a side of bacon, it TOO would be a PERFECT BREAKFAST! :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

but it has been three days! You're not planning on leaving us hanging again are you??

I have an ADR at Bistro for May 13 - I need the full run down of desserts in order to make an informed decision. :goodvibes I'm lovin' this review!

Thanks for the wonderful, entertaining, review.

:goodvibes You make me giggle.

And my eyes are a little teary right now.

Ahhem, Bob....Kevin....you still there?? :rolleyes1

Plan to leave us hanging much longer? This kind of wait might be viewed as torture! ;)

OK, OK......just so Kevin doesn't get to hang with the Pirates again...

Sue une declinaison de chocolat, moelleux noir 70%, Soupe chocolat au lait menthe et mousse au chocolat blanc
bistrodeparis032108-016.jpg

Variations of chocolate: warm chocolate cake with 70% dark chocolate, chocolate mint soup and white chocolate mousse

What we saw before us was ecstasy on a plate....as we tasted the heavenly offerings placed on the table we realized that our "foodie" souls were being nourished by the chocolate offerings...

Man can not live by bread alone....but we'd sure give a shot at life on chocolate!

Continuing on with our heavenly evening of desserts....

Dome chocolat orange, sorbet a la liquer de cacao
bistrodeparis032108-017.jpg

Chocolate orange dome, cocoa liquor sorbet

On top of our little orange dome was an orange marmalade....yummy....

over all though...the dome could have used more "orange essence"....

could have just been me, as I LOVE orange and chocolate together (almost as much as chocolate and grand marnier!)

Oh good! I didn't miss much while I was away pigging out with my buffet pants on! I saw you sitting in what looks like Edith Ann's sofa, and trying a souffle that desperately wanted to form a hidden Mickey but failed miserably.

But then I reached Chocolate Nirvana with you. :lovestruc
Thanks :)

WOW! Both the chocolate cake and the chocolate dome look fabulous!:cloud9:

Not to change the subject or anything, but how do you not have a tag, Mister Disney?!? :)

This and the rice pudding would be my favourite things so far. Did the chocolate mint soup taste like the mint flavour came from actual mint leaves or creme de menthe? Was it a dark chocolate or a milk chocolate taste? I'd love to make some of these things (esp. the rice pudding and chocolate mint soup) and wonder if you guys ever get the recipes from the restaurant?
In case you do, we've got a Dis Board Disney Recipe exchange going and would LOVE for DIs Boarders to come and share their recipes. The more participants, the more new Disney recipes to try at home.

EVERY DAY of my life, I ask the same question....

I have never been tagged by the fairies....and LORD knows...I know TONS of fairies!
