The rice pudding does look so good! Actually it all looks good, sorry it didn't taste as good. But, 6 or7 more, WOW!
Hello? Haven't you ever heard of filing an EXTENSION?We're waiting to hear about DESSERT here!
I actually was going to post from work, but forgot the menu at home.
Taxes are completed and filed.....
$9k in refunds![]()
Oh course the money is ALREADY spent, as we have to start on a 3 year restoration of our slate roof this year....
$10k a yearfor 3 years to fix the roof
![]()
OK...next up though will be a discussion of the following delectible delights!
![]()
love how all the basic food groups are in attendance here: sugar, butter, heavy cream, chocolate....
yep - all the important ones!![]()
Ok, I'm thinking pretzels, tortilla chips and a slice of pickle.....am I close????![]()
Do tell, what are they.

CLOSE.....but no cigar!
Our Garcon continued ....plop....the plate was in front of us....
Croquant aux pmmes, Mikado a la cannelie, sorbet a la pomme
Apple crisp, cinnamon “Mikado”, apple sorbet
On the left is cinnamon “Mikado”, These delectible "twigs" were great....almost like eating a cinnamon nilla wafer, dipped in chocolate.
In the middle is the Apple Crisp offering. The apples were perfectly cooked...al dente, and NOT mushy.....wonderful.
The Apple Sorbet?Imagine this is you will....A cool, crisp autumn afternoon, strolling in an apple orchard with someone you love.....you stumble upon a granny smith apple tree brimming with fruit.....you pick the most perfect looking orb from the tree.....bringing it to your lips....you bite into it your teeth piercing the fruit's skin.....the sweet and tangy juices of the apple running down your chin.....heaven....
OK, ok....moving on.......
Crepes Suzette flambees

Picture this if you will.....a 20-something Frenchman, wheels a service cart up to your table.....
He proceeds to melt globs of butter....adds tons of sugar and lets just say enough Grand Marnier to choke a horse in a pan.....
Once thats all nice and bubble he adds the 2 perfectly cooked flour crepes to the mix....
All the sudden he tips the pan just a few degrees off center and BAM! We've got a fire going on the cart! FLAMBE, table side.....can it get better than that?
OH YES! By now Ronan (thank you K-Man for refreshing my memory....) has relaxed into exactly what we're doing.....bite by bite....morsel by morsel we WILL eat our way through the Bistro de Paris' dessert menu in one sitting!
Ronan has now worked with the kitchen and although a full sized portion of the Crepes is 2 on one plate, he has 2 individual plates set up for us, so no sharing off one plate this time. Thank goodness, because I probably would have forked Kevin over this one if he tried to get more than his share!
The crepe now was warmed and on our plate with the delicious, decadent "sauce" administered over the entire thing. Pairing it with the fruit on our plate it was light and refreshing.....no taste of all that "nasty" alcohol![]()
Ronan put in the sauce, but just a hint of the orange remaining in the sauce....
mmmmm....GOOD!
Continuing on.....our next offering involved (or at least was SUPPOSED to involve some "table side service")
DO WE NOTICE A DIFFERENCE?!?!?!?
By this point, one would have thought that our "Garcon" would have "gotten it"....just as Ronan did back in 2006....alas he didn't
