Biscuit's Grand Adventure | An epic tale three decades in the making!

Aww, Nana, Papa, and Preston, I'm sad to see you go. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the trip so much and that is just the sweetest statement from Preston about it being the best week of his life. Here's to hoping you all can return soon!
Believe me, we're all hoping right along with you!

So there I was, about 10:30 at night one evening last week. I had been helping Tahli with her school project after I got home from work and had to help Tracy finish something she was working on for her classroom. AND of course we needed supplies to make lunches for the following morning. So I was driving to the store and my stomach got to rumbling. I did a quick inventory and realized I hadn't eaten since noon. And so it was that I found myself inexplicably drawn like a moth to a flame to the one place that sounded good. I pulled up, gave a happy hello to the clerk, and ordered up 3 of these little bad boys.

Yep.

Not the best decision I ever made, but tasty at the time. Though it wasn't nearly so profound a reaction as eating 17, I will say there were consequences and leave it at that.

Ah yes, I fondly remember the 17 Crystal Burger "incident". I dare say that age has prolly reduced the critical mass number greatly, my friend. ;)

All those years of Tex Mex and Cajun are definitely starting to come home to roost! I really felt old last night...I got up to let the dog out and my back made so many popping sounds when I stood up, I worried that maybe something important had come unsnapped in there. Next thing you know, I'll be talking back to the TV and repeating myself. Next thing you know, I'll be talking back to the TV and repeating myself.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

My mom used to put pretzels in her soup, do elm trees shed?

Wow, perhaps the laundry lady was just in a perpetual state of bliss and didn't know what she was doing?:confused3

Well, I am sad that Nana, Papa, and Preston were on their way home.:sad2: I hate goodbyes, especially when it's goodbye to WDW.... I really don't want to hear your goodbye, because it'll mean the TR is over.:sad1:

So, you'll go through two sets of teenage years simultaneously, aren't you excited??:lmao::lmao:

Hmmmm..... Krystal burgers, huh? I have to say - not my favorite. We have White Castle here in St.Louis but I remember Krystal from our years in Nashville and they are pretty near identical. I must have missed the "17 Krystals" episode - did you really eat 17 of them at one time? :scared1: I'm really glad you lived to tell the tale - not many could have survived 17 belly bombers!:eek::eek:

Yeah...17 in approx 3 hours.

Bad stuff that.

As some of you may recall from the banter I had with SunnieRN, or house is approx 2 miles from the Fort Hood Main Gate. At this time, we do not know if anyone we knew was involved in the shootings. There are currently several dozen soldiers and their families who attend our church and I am working with our pastor to attempt to account for each of them.

As you may also recall, I work in the Public Safety division of a cellular provider and our department coordinates the Emergency Response Team deployments. I never thought I'd be working on a deployment to my own backyard.

I just talked to Tracy and she is still at school. Because of the lockdown, many parents still have not been able to get to her school. (She teaches off post but approx 2/3 of her class are military children.)
I will likely be unable to return to check the boards until the weekend or sometime next week. Until I am able to get back, I covet your prayers for the victims, their families and the community.

Hi there Mr. GreatBiscuit! I followed your signature link from Jordan's PTR to your AMAZING TR.. Holy cow!! I got through several episodes from your earlier trips, but I need to go do homework with DS.

You have an amazing writing style... I have laughed out loud so many times in the past hour!

I'll definitely be back to try and read more.

PS.. You touched my heart with your kind gift to Jordan! Can't wait to read more about you and your family!

Sooze

Your entire community and the post are in my prayers.:grouphug:

Sending prayers for your family, friends, and church. I didn't realize that you lived so close.

You're all in my prayers. I couldn't believe it when the news first broke.

Our serviemen sacrifice so much for us, it's inconcievable how someone could attack them "at home".

I appreciate the OP's request to let us know the circumstances, but please don't let the thread turn into a total discussion of the shootings and let the thread be on hold till he returns.(so far so good). There are many threads on the Community Board in which you may to participate. Keep him and everyone else in your prayers during this difficult time.
(Sometimes it's not fun being a moderator).
