We are celebrating my daughter's 20th birthday when we go done. The majority of the two weeks will be at WLV. We want them to know its her birthday because I heard they do some special things if they know. Do I tell them when we check in or call ahead of time? What kinds of things do they do? Thanks.

You can mention it at check-in however don't be dissapointed if nothing is done. I think it all depends on the CM.

But, be sure to pick up a birthday button from City Hall at MK. I believe all the parks have them, just don't know where to pick them up.

If you really want something to be in the room, call Disney Florist. They have some nice gifts packages.

Make a PS at Chef Mickey's--best birthday place at the mouse house--celebrated every 30-45 minutes (I cannot remember).

Fun for young and old alike.

Mickey's BBQ at FW also calls attention to birthdays as does pretty much most any sit down restaurant in the Resorts and Parks.

Call WD Dining for recommendations for a birthday meal.

As far as the hotel--good luck--tell as many CMs as you can.

call the resort - WL/VWL use to do birthday cakes - so call the resort (this is not cheap) - but well worth it!

I would mention it when making your reservation - I did and when I got my confirmation it said right on it "celebrating a birthday". On the 2nd day we came 'home' from the parks to find a big birthday card signed by the characters with a few helium balloons attached to it! - it was a very nice surprise!!

My friend(26) and I (50) also had fun wearing our birthday pins (you can pick them up at guest services in the parks) - so many CMs and characters called out to wish us "Happy Birthday" through the day - even got a piece of apple pie for dessert at Columbia House - being 20, she might enjoy all the attention from the handsome young CMs as much as I did (well, maybe not as much as I did - they really made my day! )!
