Birthdays?

We'll be there for DH's birthday this year ... we'll be in Epcot. Anything special we should know about? And should I call the reservation number to make note of the birthday on our reservations? I don't know if they do anything special or not....

We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday this year, in Epcot. I brought a birthday card with me and had a cast members in each country write Happy Birthday in their language, and then gave it to him at the end of the day. It was a lot of fun, and our kids had a great time learning how to say Happy Birthday in the different languages.

Make sure to tell them when you check in to your hotel that you'll be celebrating your husband's birthday so you can get the Happy Birthday button to wear. Cast members and guests will be wishing him Happy Birthday all day. You might even get some Pixie Dust from a cast member, although this is not guaranteed. We celebrated my sister's Birthday at the Studios in 2013, and a CM gave her a small button she'd been about to buy.

My 8 year old will be turning 9 shortly after our trip and I included that we are celebrating his birthday when I made the reservations and with the GF club IPO. That should cover it right? Nothing else I need to do?

I would add the bday to any special ADR's you have. You may get a free glass of champagne or a nice dessert...we did when we were engaged in Disney a couple years ago and again when celebrating our Disneymoon last year...and maybe will again for our anniversary next week!

I celebrated my 39th birthday in 2012. The travel agent had informed them of my birthday in advance. When I arrived, the POR check-in lady gave me a birthday button and had an Mickey & Minnie autographed birthday card sent to our room. I wore the button around the park. Almost every CM we ran into told me happy birthday. Every ADR restaurant brought me a free dessert or something special for my birthday. 1900 Park Faire even brought me a sovenier Happy Birthday place mat. It was amazing how good they made feel!
