Thanks for the comments. I don't plan on lying to my son John. I do think there has been some over reaction with my query which was not my intention. I was planning on telling him the facts. It was only to get him a bit more of a fuss. If I was going to lie I would tell him that there is a large man who comes into our house every year when we are sleeping, he comes down the chimney with bags full of presents.

we were out there last year for ds 8 birthday, she wore her birthday stuff all week, must admit we was all a bit sick of the attention by the end of the week though She was like how do they all know my name??? like duh its written on your badge

we had a special day, she had perfectly princess tea party the BBB then cindrerellas castle for dinner (which was a bit of a let down they didnt fuss her at all, and mucked up the cake order)

id make hima badge at home that says , its my special birthday trip, or something similar, i dont think theres anything wrong on wanting to make a trip extra special.
