If you let Disney know you are celebrating a B-Day, they send a few Balloons & a Signed card by Characters to B-Day Person, does Universal Hotels do anything like this? We will be celebrating my GS's 3rd B-Day on our next visit, should I let the resort know?

bump

I would be interested in knowing this too. We will be celebrating my son's birthday there in June :woohoo:

This was what the HRH did for my oldest last year (she turned 12).

How far in advance did you have to let them know it was his Birthday?

I had it noted on the reservation that this was her 12th birthday trip and verified they had it noted when I called to do my confirmation of reservation a week before our trip (the call is not necessary - but I am just weird like that, I call to verify everything about a week out)

I noted this trip as her 13th birthday trip in our reservation. They may or may not do anything - but the gesture was really great & a wonderful surprise :thumbsup2 .

And that's what people need to remember...it's nice to get something, but don't EXPECT it... you aren't "entitled" to it.... they don't HAVE to do anything... but, like ya said...it sure is nice to have a nice surprise. ;)

We just returned from my DD sweet 16 trip to the HRH . We got NOTHING FREE from the HRH but my Sister did set up a cake with balloons and two t-shirts for her and her friend . You can tell them it is a birthday but you may get nothing I told them all it was her party and it really didn't get us much . We did get a free desert at the Hard Rock Cafe for her though .

We didn't get so much as a 'Happy Birthday' from the check in staff - but we still had a great stay :thumbsup2

(DD was a little disappointed after the fuss she had made of her at other hotels though :rolleyes1 )

Rally nice birthday treat!!! I bet your son/daughter LOVED IT!!

Very nice gesture for HRH!!!!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Has anyone experienced anything special like tlinus did at the PBH? My DD and I are having a birthday vacation in August and we start at Universal and finish at Disney. I have surprises planned for the latter, but not so sure about what to do for Universal/IOA. :confused3

Hi:

Does anyone have any suggestions to make my daughter's 17th bday special while we are there next month? I plan on ordering the birthday cake. We are staying at the RPH. I'm thinking about dinner or lunch at Mythos. Only the five of us will be there (2 brothers, dad and I).

We missed out on giving her a sweet sixteen party last year. I had surgery last May and couldn't walk.

Thanks,
Teresa
