Birthdays in the park, perks?

I believe that you also have you choice of free entry into the park on the day of your b'day, a fast pass (don't really understand this one since you can get fast passes for no additional cost), or a gift card for I believe $75 good for anything except for food (I think). There is one exception, if you are going as a package (ie. the 7 for 4), you could get a free ticket for up to a year for entry into one of the parks instead of the free entry on the day (this year)....

The fast pass is like the YOMD Dream Fast Passes from what I understand. That means that there is a fast pass for all of the major FP attractions at the park you received it at and that there is not a specific time to use it at. With the YOMD Dream FP they were a card on a lanyard that had tabs with each attraction printed on it. The tabs snapped off with and you gave that to the CM at the FP entrance.

HTH.

Momthechauffer,
Where did he get the It's my birthday t-shirt? I saw some for kids, but never saw them for adults.
Glad y'all had a great trip!

Has anyone used the birthday fast passes? I have heard so many different opinions on how they work. Some say they are good for all attractions others only for certain ones and that you only get 4 passes with this. Have even phoned Disney and they don't seen to know how it works.

It will be my husband's birthday when we are there and would like to make the best use of this perk. Thanks for your help.

I am going to recive a free Smile :) on my day,and It will be looking down main street:goodvibes

According to the official Disney information page, the card is good only for the day of issue. However, people have been reporting here that they have been told that their card has no expiration. I wonder if the original plan ran afoul of a possible Florida law concerning gift cards; several states have passed laws regarding gift cards, to prevent consumers from being ripped off by expiring cards or monthly fees.

The Disney Terms & Conditions for the Birthday Fun card don't explicitly say that the card expires on the date of issue. I just purchased a ten day hopper through my job's benefits site and through that link (one specifically for the birthday perks) says that there is no expiration. Because I am going for my birthday in June, I called Disney and the CM there said that while the card must be picked up at Guest Services on my birthday, any balance which remains would be honored after that day. I will call back tomorrow, though, because that was only one CM, and everyone can make mistakes. I'd feel better if there was a second opinion.

If I remember correctly, in the MK. I believe the Emporium, where you walk through all the shops without having to deal with the crowds on Main Street. It's dark blue. I'll even double check my receipts to confirm. I have everything at home, I'm at work right now.

I'm showing two receipts where t-shirts were purchased. I can't for the life of me figure it out. One was purchased at the Emporium, the other was at Frontier Mercantile. I'm willing to bet it was the Frontier Mercantile because the receipt says it was a blue Mickey Mouse Band shirt, and that's the only thing I can think of that comes close to the blue birthday shirt.

I hope this helps and dosen't confuse you!

That's good to know!
We're going for my birthday in September. :goodvibes

So... you can't use the gift cards on food purchases?

Nope! Food purchases are specifically noted as invalid on the Disney website. And that's when I'm going for my birthday, September 16! See you there!
