Hi, My son will be turing 7 years old while we are in Disney world.. I want to make it as magical and special as possible.. Is there anything specific that anyone here would recommend and does Disney do anything in honor of birthday guests? what about disney resorts as well will our hotel do anything that I should bother letting them know. Thanks!

There have been so many threads on this topic, you will probably find the best information by searching "disney birthday" or something like it. Good Luck!

I would definitely let your resort know its his bday and if you book a restuarant for his bday definitely let the CM know that when you book it. There are a lot of threads out there on this but I'll tell you what we did for DD5. Her 5th bday was during our trip so I booked CRT for lunch w/BBB prior to. One week prior to our vacationi I special ordered her a bday cake.

The day before her bday I went to the concierge desk at our resort and asked if they could do anything for her ( I already know they could but just didn't want to sound like I was expecting something). They said they could have a signed card from her favorite character (Cinderella) and then I asked for a couple balloons to accompany it which I said they could charge my room but they never charged me. But if your heart is really set on something being put in your room for your son you may want to order something from Disney Florist or the like. I've read stories that even though it was requested it didn't happen for whatever reason - the request gets lost or the resort is really busy, etc.

We went to MK on her bday and we immediately went to City Hall & got her "Its My Birthday" pin - they have these at all the parks and I believe some of the resorts have them as well. She got a lot of extra attention that day from the CMs and the characters so I would highly reccommend getting the pin. We had lunch at CRT and her bday cake was great. We couldn't eat it all so our waiter boxed it up for us and then we picked it up when we were done w/our day at MK. When we got back to our resort, the card from Cinderella and balloons were waiting in our room.

Heres the link to the bday cake thread - if you page down our cake is pictured on post #2254 and the first page is full of info on how to order a cake if you want to.

Disney is a great way to celebrate a bday. Hope others have more ideas and also try to do a search. Have fun.

Your welcome! Sometimes I don't do a search either - some of the posts are old and I like recent info. Plus creating a new thread means I get to think and write more about disney - its lots of fun. And I love reading everyone's opinions and experiences. Have a great time.
