We will be in Universal to celebrate my soon to be 12 year old's birthday. Does any restaurant do cakes like they do at DW? We were in DW a few years ago for my husband's birthday and got a full cake at supper, and I would like to be able to do that if possible. We aren't staying on property and will have a park to park ticket, so the location of the restaurant can be anywhere onsite.

Any other birthday suggestions for special things to do? He is so excited as he is now tall enough for the Hulk!!

Thanks!

I don't know about food items, but stop by Guest Services and get a birthday button. That will initiate many 'Happy Birthday' greetings from the staff. If you are going to Ollivander's...in either park, kids with Birthday buttons are more likely to be 'picked' to be the star of that show.

Not sure if you're looking for free type perks. I agree with the above post to get a Happy BDay button for best results. Any freebies would be up to the waiter/tress. Of course you can buy anything they sell. I don't know how I have missed it all these years but they sell these huge Simpson's doughnuts for only $5. You could get one of those and put some candles from home in it. They also have huge $5 apple fritters but those only seem to be at the Lard Lad truck in Simpson area - trust me I've looked everywhere. I never paid attention to them before since I figured they would be at least $10. They can easily be shared between 4 people for a snack. Can you tell I haven't eaten anything today?

Not concerned if it is free stuff or not - just looking for a whole cake. Thanks for the input!

Jake's at the Royal Pacific does a huge ice cream/brownie sundae volcano, not sure of the price (its not on the menu, but when it was presented to our son and his friend their reaction was priceless and he was i think 11 at the time. The sundae was enough for the 3 of us, mom did not partake.

Make sure you get a birthday button. They will not want to wear it initially but after a while of team members screaming 'happy birthday' from across the room or street or in line for rides, they begin to love the attention.

The Kitchen at the HRH do a full size cake.

It's usually part of a The burger challenge they do there, but you can order it separately.
