Our upcoming trip to Orlando is to celebrate our son's 16th birthday. Can anyone tell me if Seaworld has birthday buttons (similar to Disney)?

Also, we plan on purchasing the all-day dining plan, but can we get a small cake at one of the participating restaurants (specificially, the pizza and pasta buffet) for an extra cost? If so, would we have to order it ahead of time, or would it be something we could get upon request when we arrive? We had hoped to be able to Dine With Shamu to celebrate, but it appears we are going to be out of luck on that one.

Any other suggestions for celebrating at SeaWorld are appreciated! This is our first visit, so we'll probably forego the special tours and encounters since we have the whole park to explore.

I have not seen Birthday buttons or ordering special cakes. Sea World really doesn't mirror Disney in that sense.

You should have no trouble getting cake or a special treat! Near the entrance is the bakery-they have lots of different kinds of cake slices. I have seen Shamu cupcakes and Shamu cookies. Through out the park they sell Shamu ice cream bars. Shamu stadium even sells a Shamu shaped pretzel!

Each counter service has pre plated cakes and cheesecake. Quite a few have cupcakes as well.

As far as something special for his birthday-how about a dolphin interaction? (Get in line early at the first feeding if you can!). For 7.00 a person you can feed the dolphins, up close and personal LOL. There are also photographers capturing the action from the water side.

Thanks for the GREAT info ! :thumbsup2

Would anyone know if the Shamu treats are included in the all-day meal deal?

We had the all day dining the Sat. of Labor Day week-end. No, the only desserts were in the designated restaurants and were the following: small cup of strawberries, various cake slices or a not real good tasting pudding cup (chocolate).

I don't know about cakes. But it never hurts to call and ask. Perhaps if you plan to do the Luau or eat at Sharks Underwater Grill; they might be able to provide something for you there.

I believe SeaWorld doesn't do buttons because of the animals, and buttons being accidently dropped in animal habitat's. I know I have seen younger children with "Happy Birthday" stickers with Shamu on them. Not sure where they got them, check with Guest Services maybe?
