Birthdays at Disneyland?

I will be going for my 20th birthday (November 2nd) and I want to do something special

"My Disneyland birthday party" with Mickey and Minnie ~ Is that usually filled with smaller children? It sounds fun but I don't want to be surrounded by 8 year olds if YKWIM.

The Birthday bucket is way too expensive for what you get.

Goofy's Kitchen ~ I read something about a "birthday bag". I've never eaten at Goofy's Kitchen, how is it?

Please enlighten me on anything and everything to do with birthdays at Disneyland.

Well you should go to City Hall in DL and ask for a Birthday Button. They'll give it to you and you wear it all day. The CMs will all wish you a happy birthday. Plus if you go to DCA and the Mission Tortilla Factory, you will get a free bag of tortillas.

If City Hall is busy, the Guest Services desk at CA will also give you the birthday button, usually with a much shorter wait. Birthdays at Disneyland are the best!

goofys kitchen is grate dinner time. lots of diffrent food (shrimp) and meats. The charcters are cool.

Hi Cristabel! We did the Pat E Cake birthday party for my 5 year old and I'm not sure I'd recommend it. As I recall, it was mostly little kids and their families and the entertainment and cake decorating was definitely geared to the younger set. My son seemed to like it - but to him it was all about decorating the cake.

Maybe in November it would be OK. Not so hot and maybe not so many people. But honestly, I was a bit disappointed.

There's not much in the birthday bag @ Goofy's. There's a foam puzzle, a maraca, a birthday button, and I think something else small. The good thing about it is that it says Goofy's Kitchen on it, but that's all. I'd rather spend the extra money on the bucket.
