We plan to celebrate my daughters 8th birthday at Disney. I would love to have all of the advice and information that I can get to make this the best birthday ever for her. Are there any secrets, freebies, special extras that are done for birthday folks at the parks, resorts, restaurants, etc? Please help.
Thanks a million!!!

Some things that they do is at the parks is you can get a birthday button at guest relations, with that button sometimes you get front of the line, or a happy birthday from a CM. Once while staying at WL we told them it was our daughters birthday and they sent her a card, ballons and some kind of candy.
But for my other daughter they gave her a photo album at the CR. Which we later looked and saw that it was $10. At the reastaurants you can tell them its her birthday when you get there, sometimes they do stuff sometimes they don't. They usually send out a dessert and sing happy birthday. But it really depends on the CM that you get.

MY DS's bday is 12/30 and we have been to Disney 2x for his bday and we bought him that really hysterical Disney hat that is like a GIANT birthday cake with candles on it and as I recall it also plays music. EVERYWHERE we went he got extra special treatment from ALL CM's in every Park we went to that particular day as you cannot MISS seeing that hat. SO, go right to any store in Disney that carries their HATS and you will see it. I believe it was like $30.00!! And a sure keepsake for when you return home.

ps: we were eating in California Grille the night of his bday and a gentleman at the next table came over and said it was his wife's bday as well and could they borrow the hat for some family photo's...we said SURE!! It really is a FUNNY HAT!!! :flower:

We celebrated my DS5 birthday at WDW last year. I purchased a birthday shirt for him on eBay. It had Mickey on front and said "Happy Birthday Daniel". We also picked up birthday pins for him at each park. He received so much attention. While standing in line to meet Pooh and the gang, the CM brought him to the front of the line and asked everyone waiting for photos to sing happy birthday to him. He really felt special. He usually received free desserts at the sit-down restaurants. At a character meal, they had him stand on a chair in the middle of the room and everyone sang to him. Also, most of the characters wrote birthday greetings in his autograph book.
