Anyone do a birthday lunch lately at Akershus?? We are taking DD (turning 15 princess: ) there for lunch, and would love to know what to expect! Can you request something special? Is it okay to bring in our own candles for her, etc...???

TIA,

Mom of 5

I didn't request anything, but I went on my birthday last summer. I wore a birthday button and they brought me a cupcake and a card "signed" by the princesses who were there that day.

Thanks for the reply, foreverprincess! I had thought about bringing our own cupcake for her, but I think I'll just hope they bring her one instead of having our own turn to mush getting it there :rotfl2: WOW! a card signed by the princesses!! That's so cool!! I won't spoil the surprise, and make sure the camera is ready to capture that look she gets on her face if they bring one to her too!

We ate there on DD13's b-day last August.
She got a b-day cupcake & a card signed by all of the characters.

Her favorite part of dinner though...was our gorgeous (according to DD) waiter, "Chris". She fell in love with him. We got several pictures of him with DD & DS9.

Ha ha. I know Chris. That's funny. My boyfriend and I met in the restaurant when he was a server there. It's those Norwegian guys. ;)

Generally they will try to bring the card and maybe a cupcake. But it doesn't always happen as they run out frequently. I would just let anything be a surprise so she won't be disappointed if they aren't able to bring the card, etc.
Hope she has a magical birthday!

Do you happen to know if Chris still works there?
DD13 would love to know. ;)

Aww. Sorry. Chris is getting ready to have his last work week at Disney and heads back to Norway the 14th. He has a girlfriend and I am not sure what their plans are. But maybe he will be back again sometime. :) He is a nice guy.

Well thank you.
I'll tell DD...she'll be crushed!
