Hi everyone. It has been a very long tme since I posted here but I'm back because I am planning another trip and I need the expert advise of the great people of this board. Anyway, our trip to WDW will emcompass our son's birthday (Dec. 11). Any suggestions as too special things to do? Any special things in the parks? We will probably spend the whole day at MK because I plan to take my sister's kids and they won't have park hopper passes. (BTW, my sister and family live in FL, we I live in MD, thats why they will be with us only for the day) Thanks!

You'll want to get him a birthday button at guest services -MK, and MGM are the same but AK and Epcots are different so you could try to collect the 3 different ones. Also plan a character meal for that day and let them know when you make the PS and when you check in. My DS got a b-day card signed by all the characters present and the CM made a huge announcement and everyone clapped and sang.

We just celebrated our DDs 13th May 30 @ WDW! We collected b/day buttons from each park. The CMs always greeted her or wished her happy b/day when they saw the buttons! She would blush and turn 10 shades of red (but she really enjoyed it!)
The Polynesian concierge staff decorated our room with balloons, party hats, table set with table cloth, dishes and a birthday cake!!! It was such a nice surprise when we came back to the room that evening!!!

I didn't realize that the other parks had differant buttons (or had buttons at all) Maybe towards the end of the day we can run over to each and pick one up. (since only my, my boys and I will have the park hoppers.) Thanks for t he tips!
