Hi there,

If you let the reservationist know someone in your party is having a b-day and they add it to your Beach Club reservation do they do anything special?

I was also wondering if the "standard view" is a view of Epcot and if not, if you request it has anyone gotten it without paying extra?

Thanks!!

double post...can't delete it..sorry

weve stayed at the beach club twice and it has been my son's birthday. i let them know and nothing special was done. we stayed at all star sports once, because my sons wanted to try it. that was another time during my son's birthday. i let them know and when we came back to our room, there was a gift basket for him with stuffed animals, autograph book, photo album, pens, clip on characters, candy, and a lot of other things. there were also ballons, and several birthday cards from characters. it was amazing. i think it depends on who is working that day, not the type of resort. by the way, i didn't request any of that. they did that for free, thats why we were so surprised. the reason we seem to have a birthday so many times is because my son jake has a march birthday, and that is always his spring break. if you want to make sure something is done i think you can order a cake and other things, i'm sure someone will reply with that info good luck

Don't got expecting anything for your birthday. Many have reported that they didn't get any special treatment for their special event.

Many many people go to WDW to celebrate a special event and WDW can't do something for all of them.

If you have mentioned it then something does happen you got some pixie dust.

If you really want something for your birthday arrange and pay for something.

Think the same way for a room request, if it happens for free a little pixie dust was thrown your way. :)

One year for my brother's birthday I asked a BC front desk cm where I could order a cake. He gave me the info and told me he could arrange to have balloons and a card sent up to the room. When we got back to the room at night there was a card signed by all the characters and three balloons. My brother was thrilled and he still keeps the card on his desk :D

We were at the BC for my DS's 5th birthday. When we returned from the parks after dinner. There was a great chocolate cake, a card from Mickey, and balloons in our room. When we made our reservation, the CM asked how old the child was and I said that he was turning 5 on the trip, they asked which day.

During our trip the concierge staff booked breakfast at Cape May and dinner at Chef Mickeys and at both places the characters came over and sang to my DS and he received a birthday cupcake at each place. I never said anything about his birthday when I requested the PSs, so I assumed the CM taking our reservation had it put in the system

Nothing is expected...mostly we were wondering about the upgrade on the view, and if the birthday might help it ;)

When my MIL went to Disney and it was her b-day, my DH and I sent a basket with Happy b-day balloons and then every night they got something different, cards signed by the characters and pins so I wasn't really sure if this was the norm as I have never gone when it is my b-day, just on our honeymoon and at that time we got a wonderful BC Honeymoon pin and an autographed photo of M&M.

I doubt they will give you a water view room just because it's your child's birthday.

I actually wanted an Epcot View, is that the same as a water view room?
