Ok, so here goes....I am just going to hit my highlights & favorites from my birthday trip because if I told you everything we did it would take forever & you would all be
very very bored.
The players were me, my husband, his sister & her husband. We didn't do everything together, but had a great time when we did hang out. We stayed at All Star Movies (which I must say I never remember the walls being so thin before--Mom, Mom, Mom, Dad, Dad, Dad at 6:30am is not a pleasant way to wake up). The other thing you need to know about me is I am a big old sap who cries & is touched easily so that is why I have included the daily mist count brought on by the Disney Magic. So....here we go off to Neverland..............
Oct 30--arrival day/Mist count:1
-Our room was ready when we got there about 1:45. Great way to start out the trip.
-Played the gardens course at Fantasia mini-golf something that had been on my to do list for a long time. Such a cute course & so much fun. Great music & water effects at some of the holes.
Good start to the fun.
-Jellyrolls was another thing on my to do list & we went after dinner & had a great time listening to the dueling piano players sing. It was really fun & they even played my request..so if you were there that night & had to endure Jessie's Girl it was my fault.
Oct 31st--my birthday
/MGM & MK/Mist count:3
-First ride of the trip--Tower of Terror
-Wearing an It's My Bday Button--I got so many happy bday wishes from Cast Members & a few guests that I lost count. I got a bday sundae & card at lunch & a
at dinner. I felt like a
all day.
-Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party--What a great way to celebrate not only halloween but my day. Great theming. Main Street looked awesome. Cool characters out. Great telling of the story of Ichabod Crane & the Headless horseman at Liberty Square. Awesome parade & great fireworks..those perimeter fireworks make you feel surrounded by light. We skipped over most of the trick-or treating & walked on most every ride. We did Philharmgic for the 1st time
& were all blown away. We closed the place down & the four of us had such a great night together.
Nov 1st--EPCOT/Mist count:1
-First ride on Mission:space--intense is the best way to describe it.
-Yeah,
Figment is back at JII
-Great character interactions in World Showcase with no one hardly around....the Beast knelt down & took my hand & waltzed me around the courtyard. I was
from ear to ear the rest of the day!!!!
-Awesome dinner at Bistro de Paris.
-Great spot for Illuminations...lovely way to end the day.
Nov 2nd--MK/Mist count:4
-Character breakfast before the park opened so we got a great picture of us in front of the castle with no one else in it!!
-Saw Hall of the Presidents on Election day..how appropriate.
-Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian--such a nice way to relax & have a spot of tea.
-Cinderella's Surprise Celebration--she sings "So this is love" & there I go misting up cause it's our song.
-1st viewing of Wishes. Wow!! It was all I expected & more.
-The Kiss Goodnight while everyone else was rushing out of the MK. Me & my wonderful hubby practically alone right in front of the castle. Ahhhhhhhhh
Nov 3rd--MGM(is anyone else having trouble calling it the Disney Studios?
)/Mist count:3
-The Magic of Disney Animation--drawing Donald Duck, which character am I? I'm a little bitty optimistic bug...Dot from Bug's Life while my hubby is cool as Aladdin.
-One Man's Dream--I love spending time here surrounded by Walt's things & dreams. He's the reason we have such a wonderful place to play in & I hope everyone goes to see this to appreciate his life & his contributions to us. Misty moment here again.....sorry.
-Great meal at the Brown Derby.
-Fantasmic--I love my Sorcerer Mickey.
-Shopping at DTD & oh that ice cream at Ghiradelli's.
Nov 4th--Animal Kingdom/Mist count:1
-Festival of the Lion King--I love that show. Husband had never seen it in all this visits, but we made it this time.
-Gorilla viewing was awesome. 2 silverbacks posturing with each other. Great!!
-Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade which was another on the to do list was really cute & different.
-Dinner at Boma...great meal, loved the different spices.
-Viewing the animals on teh savannah through the night vision goggles.
Nov 5th--EPCOT/Mist count:2
-Enjoying the atmosphere & ambiance of World Showcase..taking our time & browsing through the countries.
-Tasting wines from the Food & Wine Festival
-French pastries
-Dinner at O'hana...with my first Lapu-Lapu
-Wishes & Electrical Water pageant from a swing on the Poly beach...so romantic & such a different perspective of the fireworks.
Nov 6th--MK/Mist count:4
-It was crowded today...our only crowded day, but we just soaked up the atmosphere & enjoyed ourselves anyway.
-Philharmgic for the 4th time....we just loved it!!
-Annual passholder preview of Stitch's Great Escape. We enjoyed it. Alien Encounter had always scared the cooties out of me, so I liked the warm fuzzy kid friendly version here. The Stitch Audio-animatronic is pretty amazing too!!
-Great dinner at Cinderella's royal table--Peter Pan & Captain Hook ran right by our window.
-Spectromagic---great music & twinkly lights what more could anyone want?
-Wishes for the last time...I balled like a baby. It's just so great & we watched this time from right in front of the castle. Awesome.
-One last tearful look at the castle until we get back again.
So, in summary, we had a great time. We ate great meals, found new favorites while still loving our old favorites & we can't wait to get back to the Disney Magic again soon.....see signature below.
