Next time in DW, going with my aunt who will celebrate her birthday. Any good birthday tips to know for the parks?

not sure about adults- but we were told to let them know we had a birthday boy with us when we booked our trip... they said he'll get a badge to wear- and will get special attention by characters, etc. We'll be there for my son's 5th birthday.

Stop by City Hall on Main Street at MK and get a birthday button. I did last year for my bday. All the CM's will wish her a happy birthday. Let them know at all the restaurants and they will do something special too!

It really just depends on the people you approach. Definitely get the birthday button and the one from MK. Call the resort and tell them about it before you go down and they should leave something in your room. If you call and get lucky, you may get a CM that will go above and beyond. They might make reservations for you somewhere or do something really special for you. If she wears one of the birthday mickey ears that will be sure to grab some attention. Especially if she's on an interactive attraction (like Jungle Cruise) they might talk to her and single her out.

We put what we were celebrating on our reservation, When we got there to check in we got a birthday pin for my nephew once we arrived. Everyone says happy birthday and if you note what you're celebrating for you ADR they will do something, we had our table waiting with confetti a card from the characters and a dessert. I am looking for a picture of the table but photobucket is acting funny!

My great neice received a few cupcakes at the end of a few meals, cards signed by CM when we had Garden View Tea plus a birthday tiara, there was a birthday card in our room one day when we got back and it was signed by the Fab 5:) She was walking on air the whole trip:) Last year when we checked in they gave me a birthday button, I don't remember telling them anything about my birthday, and as I was leaving check in, the door man stopped me and had everyone sing to me..I usually try to stay out of the limelight and that day I couldn't escape:) It was great now that I reflect back on it.

Thanks for the tips! I can't wait to see that table picture if photo bucket is working for you:yay:

We are celebrating our boys' birthdays with a WDW trip this September (and our 10th anniversary). We decided to go the week between both birthdays so we won't actually be there ON either days. Can we still have pins and other special things if we 'pick' a day to celebrate while we are there to still let my boys feel special on a chosen day??

I'd like to know the same, as I am hoping to book AS Sports with free dining to celebrate my twins birthday the next week.

I have not been to WDW but I assume it's the same process as Disneyland. When we went to Disneyland about two weeks before my husband's birthday we were asked if we were celebrating anything and we said that my husband's birthday was coming up soon. They gave him a Happy Birthday button with his name written on it in Sharpie. So I believe as long as your close in time you should be fine getting a button.

We always take our trips in June and we are always there on my birthday. On our last trip we were walking close to Spaceship Earth when a CM who was sweeping up, asked me if today was REALLY my birthday (I was wearing the birthday pin). I told him yes, at which point he began singing Happy Birthday (quite loudly I might add)! Close to 50 park guests stopped and sang along. Nearly brought me to tears! One of my best birthday memories. Ever.:cloud9:
Another year while eating dinner at 1900 Park Fare, Prince Charming brought me a birthday cupcake along with a crown and the characters sang Happy Birthday! Every year I've found balloons, confetti and a signed character picture waiting in the hotel room.
So...make sure it's noted on your reservation and make sure you get the free birthday pin.

Make sure you mention the birthday when you check in. You'll need to get her a button and she may get alot of attention.
