We are driving to WDW in June, and because of work conflicts, happen to be LEAVING on my daughter's 5th birthday. We will be driving 2 full days to get there, and arriving a couple days after her birthday. Is Disney OK with us ordering a cake at our character meal to celebrate? She is such a Princess fan! It will technically NOT be her birthday.

Did you add the celebration to your ADRs? You are there to celebrate her birthday and she can party every day she is there. Once you arrive, get her a birthday pin and make sure she wears it every day. I'm not saying she'll absolutely get special treatment, but there is a strong likelihood she will. CMs (and some guests)will wish her a happy birthday and she may get a little cupcake/dessert at your TS restaurants.

As for your original question:
You can always order a cake, since you're paying for it (they'll happily take your money).
