My daughter will be 3yrs old and we shall be celebrating her 3rd Birthday in Disney

She will take £100 birthday money with her to spend in the Disney Shops.....

Do u think £100 will be easily spent or do u think she will get alot out of her birthday money?

Thanks for ur reply Emma, i didnt know how expensive things are in the shops.
She will definately buy a autograph book and pen, some minnie ears and probably a couple of soft toys.
Maybe some Disney princess toys.....

Im sure she will let me know what she likes

I bought her a Disney Princess fleece blanket today, thought she could take it with her for when she wants to snuggle up warm in her pushchair

Minnie ears are about 9 Euros and medium size soft toys are around 20 Euros, i dont think your pay more than 10 euros for a autograph book.

I need to buy Kyra a Princess blanket i think ill get her one on our September trip

Ooooh i cant wait to take her shopping, i might take her on the 2nd day after her evening meal in cafe mickey, we can go shopping in the evening (if shops stay open?????) then make our way back to hotel.

I got the blanket for £6 thought it was a bargain.... arnt our girlies so lucky i was thinking of getting the Minnie Pushchair that someone said on another thread as Hannahs pushchair is a Graco Travel system and far tooo heavy.. although Hannahs heavy pushchair is fab for storing things and has a huge shopping basket. Not sure what to do
Can u keep pushchair up on Eurostar or must u fold them?
Im worried about travelling on london underground with luggage and a heavy pushchair more than anything else...

A lot of the underground stations have lifts, so it shouldn't be too bad. I would suggest avoiding rush hour though, otherwise it could be quite horrid.

as for £100, I would imagine that will be ample for a young child to spend. As Emma said, none of the toys etc are too expensive and neither are the autograph books / pens etc that children are after.

Now, if you was to decide she wanted a Princess dress, then they're more expensive...

You have to fold pushchairs on the Eurostar, but there are lots of storage space for pushchairs and luggage.

The shops are open in the village till 6pm so you should have plenty of time to look around the shops.

I'm not sure how much spending money im giving to Kyra as i'm hoping to pickup some Birthday presents and Christmas presents there for her. Im sure Hannah will have a lovely time

Glad things arnt too expensive in the shops, Hannah already has a princes belle dress, ive heard that they are very pricey so thank goodness that we dont have to buy one... i would prefer her to choose a few nice things rather than 1 big expensive things

If you want to take your daughter birthday-shopping after a meal, the big store in the Village is open well into late evening, and the shop is amazing, I'm sure she'll find lots of nice things to spend her money on there .

When I had my DD and Dniece with me last November, we came out of that shop (after pigging out in Annettes) at about 9.30pm with a huge sack full of stuff - I struggled to lug it all to the Santa Fe bus stop .

I think £100 is actually quite a lot of money for a child to spend, but it is her birthday money, and as I said, she'll get some lovely things for that amount. The soft toys are a bit expensive, but they are beautifully made (DD always buys one on her DLRP trips).

£100 is a huge amount of money, she'll get plenty for that (although if she's like my 3 yr old she'll still want more, and more, and more forever ad infinitum).

Just a bit of advice, if you are buying soft toys I would advise only buying ones that are related to DLRP & can't be bought in the UK. The reason for this the price in Euros on the tag is at a very poor £ rate, even more so now. So say she just wants a standard Mickey then she would be better to buy it in the UK that way she will have more money to spend.

Having said many soft toys are like an exclusive to DLRP so make it worthwhile buying

The underground in London is a killer if you have a buggy. We live in London and I never travel on the tube because of the stairs you have to climb as not everywhere there're lifts to the top. The people are rude, noone helps and it just not worth it!!! Sorry, did I say I don't like the tube??? lol

Light buggy would be better as you can fold it and it won't take lots of room.

You have to fold the buggy on the Eurostar!

You can take the Piccadilly line from Hammersmith all the way to Kings Cross. St. Pancras is a minute walk from Kings X. It's great you won't have to change the tube though. I don't know about Hammersmith but at Kings X there're definitely stairs to climb to get to the lift/escalator. The rush hour is 8-10am so try and avoid that if you can...
