my ds was invitied to an all class party for a girl in his 1st grade class. He is excited to go b/c it is at pump it up and the whole class will most likely be there.

What do you give a girl turning 7? I usually buy legos for all the boy parties we go to.

Thanks!!

Buy her one of the craft kits. You can find them at a lot of places, Wal Mart, Target, Micheals, Hobby Lobby. Or one of those kits by Lisa Frank.

Why not Legos? They do have pink sets. My DD is 12 and she likes legos still...asks for the bigger city sets for x-mas last year and already this year. She likes the house sets. Also there is the Bellvue (?) set that is for girls but I've only found those at the Lego Stores.

My dd is turning 7 next week (although she is in 2nd grade not first but I don't think it would change the likes too much). What she wants for her bday:

Camp Rock 2 CD
Littlest Pet Shop combo packs
yellow nail polish
earrings (if you know if they are pierced)

Something that would be less girly for a boy to get might be a board game (I always give gift receipt too just in case). DD likes guess who and Disney DVD Bingo and Rack-o.

Or how about a beach towel and a cool pair of sunglasses? Everyone could use those!

One of the Mom's whose girl is coming to dd's party had a good idea - a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble to pick herself out a book or two - I LOVE that idea and think I'll use it sometime in the future!

Littlest Pet Shop has new sets that includes the new human character Blythe. These are less than $15.

My niece is in the 2nd grade and has a birthday coming up. Requested items were squinkies and zhu zhu pets. Her mom said Little Pet Shop stuff is still good too.

My DD6 is in first grade and I have to agree with the poster who put a craft kit. My DD would be so excited if she got one. She also loves books, nail polish, and makeup (play). Another thing that she is a huge fan of it the Furreal friends pets. They are little animals that are a little lifelike. I think the smaller ones like a dog with a carrier are around $15. She has a ton of them and all her friends think they are awesome.

Oh and don't forget, you can't go wrong with silly bands!!!

You've got some great suggestions. I have a 6 year old girl in first grade and she loves Littlest Pet Shop, reading books, and drawing.

I also have to chime in on the craft kits. They have lots of jewlery ones at ToysRus branded Totally Me and they are really cute. My daughter also received the Totally me charm bracelet kit as a gift and loved it!

My friend's six year old loves girly dress up stuff - bangle bracelets, colorful nail polish, boas, things like that. I also had a 30 minute conversation with my friend's daughter about pillow pets so that may be an idea. :)
