We decided to do a private party at the local monster golf for my son. We are doing it before regular hours so we did not have to worry about sticking to a number. We know going in a flat rate for the party place. DS will be 8 and has about 20 kids coming.

I'm torn on a few things. The time is 10am - Noon. The lady there said 1/2 her guests to a brunch with muffins/donuts, etc and the other 1/2 do pizza. I'm leaning towards the pizza at 11am. I don't want to send the kids home ready for lunch. I think both options would end up similar on pricing. I also want to be sure to have enough for adults.

Also i found out they give the kids tickets to redem for prizes but no means to play any of the games. We would have to give them money for the video games. She said some do some don't. I'm thinking maybe give each child $2-3 in quarters in a little pouch of some kind instead of doing a treat bag? Maybe wrap up with a little note saying thank you for coming (will not replace a thank you for the gift after!)

He wanted to invite a lot of friends not in his class at school, lots of neighbors, kids from his class last year, soccer team, etc. They have all rsvp'd. however, out of the 22 in his class I only received 4 yes responses and 2 nos. I have no idea about all the others. For the venue I don't care but if i do quarters I don't know how to plan.

I would just make up quarter envelopes for the number of kids invited. If you don't need them you can always just cash them in for dollars. Most places that serve pizza let you order by the pie.
