Birthday magic at the WL how to get it?

So I arrive on SAt the 18th and my mom is celebrating her bday while we are thereI have noted the reservation
what can I do special for her while I am there
i was thinking glass slipper dessert, or strawberry tuxedos
stuff like that
any other ideas
who do i call the hotel or reservations

For my DD (her 11th), I faxed the resort, & didn't ask for a thing. The Poly surprised us with a cake, balloons, party hats, & horns delivered in style by room service - what a treat! I did have WDW Florist deliver a gift basket w/ balloons & snacks to her - they have some nice Disney fruit baskets, chocolate lover baskets, floral arrangements, etc... - I've ordered from them several times & never been disappointed. I think the website is: www.disneyflorist.com Also, note it on an PS you make - all the places we ate made a big deal out of her birthday. I took my mom for her 70th & at MGM's Beauty & Beast show, the pre-show group called her up front & sang to her & let her "open" the show, & gave her a certificate - it was great! Disney really knows how to do birthdays!

You could arrange to have flowers in the room on her birthday. You could also ask the front desk if some balloons could be in her room on that day. WDW florist does a great job. I am sure you could pay for a cake as well.........I hope you have a magical trip.

I've never done it, but have read in the WL info paper that you're to contact their dining service 24 hrs in advance to request a cake.

Even though people do sometimes receive complimentary cakes, balloons, cards, etc, at the resort, this seems very random (perhaps arranged by the person who checks you in or assigns the room -- we've never known). Don't expect something and get disappointed --- plan your own birthday celebration.
