Which promotion for Birthday do you recommend????

Notice that Fastpass exhange card if good for a "certain number attractions"
at DLPark and CA...

What are the attractions that the Birthday Person could use on the
FASTPASS EXCHANGE CARD?????????????????????????????????

Much thanks! CAN'T WAIT TILL AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wizard::wizard::wizard:

I got the FP Card for my birthday at Epcot in WDW. My birthday was on an event weekend and it fell on a Saturday, so it was slightly busier than usual. I know a lot of people knock the FP, but I have to say, if your birthday falls on a busy time, it's GREAT! My bf and I went and he's not much of a Disney person (yet...ahem...) so it was great for us to just be able to walk on the most popular rides. At WDW (someone please correct this if the system works differently at DLR, but I think this part would be the same) you get 4 rides that are on a tiered system, 2 from the top tier, 2 from the bottom tier (for each person in your group) and you get to chose. You simply enter your FP card and out pops a FP ticket for the current hour. If it's 10:43, it's good from 10:44-11:44. Awesome.

When we did it, I didn't realize I'd need to show his multi-day ticket as well, so just be prepared for that...I needed to chase him down (he wasn't answering his cell.)

The reason I chose this over the $$ is because the $$ isn't good on food :( and I already have a lot of Disney stuff at home, didn't want to lug it all back on the plane. Plus it was a busy weekend. It worked for us.

I asked this same question not to long ago as we are going for our DS bday.

I personally would choose the funcard but I can understand the PPs reasons for getting the FPs instead. I guess I look at it this way. Am I willing to spend $69 for fastpasses for 4 rides? The answer for me is No. It's true you can't use the funcard at restaurants but you can buy the prepackaged food they sell in the regular stores (like chocolate covered mickey pretzels, etc). There's also no expiration date so if you don't use it all one day, you can use it a different day, or a different trip!

Good luck making your decision!

If the birthday fast passes had been like the dream fast passes (one for each fp attraction) I would have been all over that deal. Unfortunately they're not, so I opted for the gift card.

When the B day FP promo first started I think you had to choose from Donald's Fav's OR Daisy's favs.

But now I think you can choose 3 rides from Donald's Favorites AND 3 rides from Daisy's Favorites.
So you get a total of 6 fast passes.

Donald's Favorites: Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, Indiana J, Roger R, Tower of T, Soarin, Screamin

Daisy's Favorites: Big Thunder, Autopia, Buzz, Mulholland M, Grizzly River

BTW, I believe this info is correct; but as with anything Disney, it's always subject to change ;)

I went with the money . If you use it wisely $69.00 can get you a lot of little souvenirs, or you can splurge on a sweatshirt and shirt like I did. Still not sure if I made the right selection :confused3, but then again I would never pay $45.00 of my own money for a sweatshirt.

The other poster is right, guess it's up to you if you want to lug around a bunch of purchased goods, or travel back with them depending on how you are traveling.

You won't be the only person with a B-Day FP or other special Fast Pass, so you may even encounter some delays that way. And it's great that the Fun card does not expire. Personally I feel $69.00 is a better deal than Fast Passes, we've all put up with long waiting times and Disney park prices, this is one of the few and rare occasions Disney will actually pay the guest.

Thinking aloud about the FastPass or Fun Card Question..

What good are the FastPasses for the Birthday Person if the other people in the party don't have them???????????

So, you can use Fun Card to purchase pre-packaged stuff like candy...Sorry, never been to DL or CA..What stores can we purchase pre-package stuff like candy, chocolate covered pretzels?

Also, where can you use the FunCard, just Disney Store?????????????

Thanks SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I opted for the fun card as my bday was on the day we were leaving town. Picked it up in the morning and left. Will be using it this weekend when we return.

I wish I could use it to upgrade another persons AP from our group.

I can speak at least to the FPs...You can only get it on the actual day of your birthday and it's good for the birthday boy or girl and up to a certain amount of extra people in their party. So when I went with my boyfriend, both my boyfriend and I got a pass to use.

And I think for the FunCard it's good at any place that's owned by Disney.

Hope that helps!

Yes, the funcard is good at the disney owned merchandise places (not restaurants or food carts though). Not every store in DL is owned by disney. For example, I think the crystal shop (?) is owned by the company that makes the crystal.

There was a list floating around somewhere awhile back that listed all the places you could use the fun card at. Maybe Albort (or someone else) could post the list again for you. Or you might be able to search for it.

Oh, I see that 3Minnies just posted the link for you.

It's on the first post of the thread I linked above.

You can get fast passes for up to 5 other people in your party as well. I believe they do have to accompany you to guest services, with their park admission tickets, when you go to pick up your birthday FP's.
