My DD2 just loves Barney. I know there are many other reasons to go to Universal but the trip I am planning in Jan. is for her to see Barney for her 3rd bday. I am wanting to know anyone's great ideas for younger bdays at Universal. Thanks, already learning loads on these boards :D

Well, lets see... we did this in August primarily for our four year old then.

The show is cute, there is a mature lady playing Mrs. Peek a boo, who does a nice preshow.

You then go in the building, and the staging is nice. Opt for a front row seat, but really all seats are good. Its a cute show, with a few songs, and the "seasons" represented... Barney comes out in a dramatic fashion, and Baby Bob and BJ are there as well.

Afterward, you can play in a play area, and Barney does a meet and greet!

Thank-you for posting Cindy. I kept looking at the reply counter and it always said "0" so I thought noone had posted a reply  . I only clicked on this thread to give it a bump and, surprize, there was your post :p

I'm thinking there must not be any "secret" cool barney birthday things I should know about in advance. If any of you hear of any, please post about them :D

When we were there, Barney didn't stop for pictures or to greet anyone...you stood in the back in a circle and he came around and did high fives. I hope he takes the time to stop and meet your little one.

there's a new birthday thing Universal is offering starting at $549 for 15 people (less than $35 per person). it's all-inclusive and includes admission to the park (USF or IOA) and a special b-day party complete with cake and decorations. meals and character meet and greets are also available (yes, barney is available). you can book a party by calling 407-224-B-DAY (2329).

I don't know about a $500 birthday party...

Our visit to Barney's Show included time afterward where Barney hugged/and or took pics with each child who waited. He doesn't talk though, just hugs, shakes hands etc...My almost 4 year old was thrilled and loved the show. :p
