Will be at Disney for my birthday. :dance3: The first time we will be away on my birthday as it is in the fall. We will be visiting DD who starts the college program next month.

We have three dinners while we are there (doing a long weekend). Have Teppan Edo (DD wants) and Tonys (on MK EMH Night) reserved on the non birthday days. We are not on a dining plan when we are there as we will be getting our final hotel location when DD gets there and gets the employee discount for us.

Right now I have Coral Reef reserved but I am not crazy about their appetizer selection. Via Napoli is open and I just canceled a reservation for when I take DD there next month. I do want that but that makes 2 of 3 meals Italian. I love Fultons but don't want to spend a fortune on dinner (her sororiety sister may join us for a meal too).

Some choices that are out there are Captains Grill (we ate there last year and it was ok), Flying Fish (not sure family would like it), Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe, San Angel

I have some suggestions:

Chef Mickey's

Beaches and Cream

Rose and Crown

Chef's De France

Just out of these, I guess I'd pick Kona. Flying Fish, like all Signatures, is a good bit more expensive and you mentioned not 'breaking the bank'.

But I'd also keep looking. Ohana is a great experience and definitely makes a good birthday party place for any age, but can be hard to get ADRs for. Biergarten would also make for a pretty boisterous party; it is fun for kids but also works really well for an adults-only group. And we've had really great food at Yak & Yeti, if park admission is not a barrier (i.e. if you have Hoppers). Or if you don't mind not spending as much time in the parks, how about dinner at Boatwrights and then adjouring to the lounge next door to catch Bob Jackson's show? HE'D help you celebrate your birthday in style!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Chef Mickeys and Beaches and Cream I don't think are in the running.

Chefs has a very late night reservation available. I will relook at Ohana and Kona.

I told DD tonight and she just rolled her eyes at me.

If you like Italian I say go for it. So what if 2 of 3 meals are that.

I could eat pasta everyday....and sometimes have. LOL :lmao:

It is your Bday, go where you wish.

That sounds like a good idea and you are right it is my birthday.

I figure at Via Napoli I am going to get pizza which is different than the chicken parm from Tonys.
