Hi. I know many people ask for suggestions for special meals. Sorry here is another one of those threads. I appreciate any suggestions you may have.

We are going mid August so I realize my choices for TS are limited especially with the "free dining" people having made their reservations a while ago. We are not involved in that since we are DVC members. My husband will be celebrating his 50th in Sept. and I wanted to do some special things on this trip for him. We are going to Discovery cove one day because that is something he has been talking about for a while.

Now, after looking at my ADRs, 50's Prime Time for lunch, LeCellier for dinner (which is one of DS (18) and DH favorites), Cape May for dinner(one of DS favorite), Teppan Edo for dinner (which we have never been to) :confused3, Kona for breakfast (DH favorite for breakfast), I am wondering if I should try to add another restaurant that DH might really enjoy. I do not want any place we have to dress up for as DH does not enjoy that while on vacation. He loves American, seafood, Chinese and Japanese food. We have eaten in Yachtsman which was nice, but DH has decided that he likes LeCellier better. We also have done The Coral Reef a number of times, but we are taking a break from that for awhile. I was possibly thinking the Grand Floridian Cafe, as we have had a couple of nice meals there.
Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks!!:)

Some thoughts:
Sanaa
Nacoosees
Jiko
Todd English or Shula's (in the Swan / Dolphin)

Thanks. DH really enjoyed Ohana the first time, but we did not enjoy the food as much the 2nd time so we have been taking a break from that one in the last 3 years.

I appreciate the responses, but anybody else? ;)

Narcoossee does sound nice, but is expensive. California Grill looks nice (great view), but the entrees I saw listed would not appeal too much to my DH or DS. As far as seafood, we are more shell fish people. Since we do occasionally have our own lobsters at home, I think DH would not want to splurge for the surf and turf although I know he would enjoy that, special birthday or not. LOL. I just love hearing how others celebrate adult birthdays with meals etc. THANKS.

We love hddr it is so much fun and the food is good American food. I'm sure you have been but, I had to suggest it... Have fun:thumbsup2

Thanks again for all your replies. All the suggestions sounded nice. I looked at all the menus. No dislover, believe it or not, we have never done HDDR. It sounds like fun and DH would like that kind of food, but I did not think DS (18) would enjoy the show so much.

I have decided on Narcoossee. We all love to visit the GF and I think trying a new restaurant will be fun! :)
